This consultation seeks to get a sense of the view of the public in regards to the use of a ceremonial gubernatorial uniform. The response period closes Sunday 20th April.
Add your comment!In February 2006, a 8.62 meters giant squid caught off the Falkland Islands April 2005 went on public display at the Natural History Museum in London. Researchers at the museum undertook a painstaking process to preserve the giant creature, which is on display in a 9m long glass tank immersed in a mix of salt water and formalin.

Add your comment!The Government of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands has announced that it will launch a new electronic permit system (EPS) for visitors to the Territories in advance of the next tourist season, replacing the current system of levying landing fees by an individual visitor permit charge. The cost of a visitor permit will be set initially at £200.
Add your comment!The City Hall of Tolhuin in the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego -which technically includes the Malvinas (Falkland) Islands and the other British Overseas Territories claimed by the South American country- filed a tax execution lawsuit to dismantle a radar installed by the British company LeoLabs in the area, citing violations of local regulations and national sovereignty.
