Darren Washington
Darren Washington (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Indiana State Senate to represent District 3. Washington did not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on June 2, 2020.
Biography
Washington earned his B.A. in political science from Millikin University and his M.P.A. from Indiana University Northwest.[1]
Washington has served as President of the Board of School Trustees for the Gary Community School Corporation. In addition, he has been Chief Deputy at the Lake County Office of the Recorder in Crown Point, Indiana. In 2011, he served as an adjunct professor at Ivy Tech Community College. Washington has also served as a Deputy Sheriff Chaplain for the Lake County Sheriff's Department.[1]

Washington ran in the 2012 election for Indiana State Senate District 3. He ran against incumbent Earline S. Rogers and David Vinzant in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012, with Earline Rogers winning in the primary.[6] No candidates filed to run in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[7]
