Manga 'Tenkaichi' Receives TV Anime Adaptation

Publishing company Kodansha announced a television anime adaptation of Yousuke Nakamaru and Kyoutarou Azuma's Tenkaichi: Nihon Saikyou Bugeisha Ketteisen (Tenkaichi: The Greatest Warrior Under the Rising Sun) manga on Friday.

Nakamaru and Azuma originally began the samurai action manga in Young Magazine the 3rd in January 2021. Following the merger of the magazine into Monthly Young Magazine three months later, the manga resumed in the latter in May that year. Kodansha published the tenth volume in November 2024, with the 11th volume going on sale on April 18. Tenkaichi has a cumulative 700,000 copies of its volumes in circulation.

Kodansha's K Manga app and website simulpublishes the manga in English. The manga in also published in Italian by Star Comics.

Tenkaichi was nominated for the 8th Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho (Next Manga Award) in the Print category in 2022.

Synopsis
This is not history as we know it. The year is 1600. Ten years have passed since Oda Nobunaga unified the whole of Japan. When Nobunaga realizes he is nearing the end of his life, he announces that he will hand over the reins of power to whoever brings him the strongest warrior. The generals, whose dreams of conquering the country had been crushed, put up their own strongest warriors and aim to become the king of the country! (Source: K Manga)

not really hyped cause I found the manga ok not the best of the I guess tournament genre there doing with ROR or from WOGW or anything but if it does descent hopefully will get a physical release cause I can't stand digital manga at all.
