'Kakkou no Iinazuke Season 2' Unveils New Staff and Cast for Summer 2025

The official website of the Kakkou no Iinazuke (A Couple of Cuckoos) anime series unveiled new staff, cast, a teaser visual (pictured), teaser promo, and ending theme for the second season on Sunday. The second anime season adapting Miki Yoshikawa's romantic comedy manga will air beginning in July 2025.

Voice actress Hina Youmiya (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu, Shoushimin Series) is joining the cast as Ai Mochizuki.

Idol group 22/7 (Atri: My Dear Moments) is performing the ending theme "Anata de Nakucha," previewed in the teaser promotional video below.

The first season, produced by animation studios SynergySP and Shin-Ei Animation, aired in 24 episodes in Spring 2022. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with multiple subtitles and dubs, later releasing it on two Blu-ray volumes in August and December 2023.

Yoshikawa originally published Kakkou no Iinazuke as a one-shot in Weekly Shounen Magazine in September 2019, approximately 2.5 years after ending Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches). The magazine began serializing the manga in January 2020. Kodansha published the 26th volume on January 17, with the 27th volume planned for an April 16 release.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English for digital release in November 2020. The 22nd volume went on sale on March 25.

I remember the first season had good animation quality for the most bit and it seems that artstyle has gone up a notch here. Let's hoping the animation here will be good and consistent.

@bastek66 To be honest, I mostly just remember the Op and ED visuals so I based it off that.
