June 2017 request for voter rolls
On June 29, 2017, the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, which had been created by President Donald Trump on May 11, requested information on registered voters from all 50 states dating back to 2006. The states were given until July 14 to respond. On July 3, Secretary Denney announced that the state would respond to the commission's request following a review period.
“ | While a request for voter information itself is not atypical, and while specific parts of the state voter roll are in fact public, this particular request was of a unique enough nature that it bears some additional review.[2] | ” |

Campaign themes
2014
Denney's campaign website listed the following themes for the 2014 race:
“ |
Taxes I really do not mind paying my fair share of taxes. Our total tax structure should be fair and equitable as well as stable. We need to not only expect – but demand – that our elected officials utilize our tax dollars wisely and efficiently. Budget & Spending As a fiscal conservative, I am thankful that Idaho has a constitution that mandates that we balance our budget each year. It would be too easy to say ‘yes’ to all the budget requests that are brought before the legislature each year, only to find ourselves operating in the red or having to make deeper cuts to programs and services. We have to be mindful that we have to be accountable. Raising taxes is not the right answer. Education I believe that we need to do everything possible to assure our children access to a good education. I also believe that the responsibility for seeing that children avail themselves of that education lies with parents – not the government. The future of our state and our country depends on sound and responsible education of our children. |

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
