John Conroy
John M. Conroy was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Vermont. He was appointed to this position on December 22, 2008. Conroy's first eight-year term was due to expire on December 21, 2016.[1] On August 8, 2016, the district court announced that Judge Conroy had been reappointed to another eight-year term beginning December 21, 2016.[2] Conroy retired in March 2021.[3]
Education
Judge Conroy earned his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University. He then received his J.D. from The New England School of Law in 1982.[4][1]
Professional career
Before he became a magistrate judge, he was an assistant U.S. attorney for the United States Department of Justice from 1987 to 2009.[1]

Conroy was appointed to the United States District Court for the District of Vermont as a federal magistrate judge on December 22, 2008.
