A Vermont Charters for Political Subdivisions Amendment was on the 1913 ballot in Vermont as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved, becoming Article 33 of the amendments to the Vermont Constitution.
The ballot question said:
- That a new amendment be added to the Constitution, to be known as article 30, as follows:
- Article 30. No charter of incorporation shall be granted, extended, changed or amended by special law, except for such municipal, charitable, educational, penal or reformatory corporations as are to be and remain under the patronage or control of the State; but the General Assembly shall [rovide by general laws for the organization of all corporations hereafter to be created. All general laws passed pursuant to this article may be altered from time to time or repealed.
