Jason Holliday (Republican Party) was a member of the Indianapolis City Council, representing District 20. Holliday assumed office in 2012. Holliday left office in 2020.

Holliday (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Indianapolis City Council to represent District 20. Holliday won in the general election on November 5, 2019.

Holliday was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Decatur Central High School and received a bachelor's degree from Franklin College in 1988. He was the Decatur Township assessor from 2005 to 2008 and served on the Decatur Township board from 1997 to 2005. He has been associated with the Decatur Township Civic Council, the Decatur Central Lion's Club, the Southwest Multi-Service Center, Community Centers of Indianapolis, and the Indianapolis/Marion County City-County Council's Common Construction Wage Committee.[1] Holliday's professional experience includes the following:

  • 2005-Present: Sales representative, Ray's Trash Service
  • 2001-2005: Account executive, Ray's Trash Service
  • 2000-2001: Customer service representative, Petro's Tire Sales and Service, Inc
  • 1996-2000: Township administrator
  • 1993-1996: Cice president of services at Hoch Correctional Consultants and Services, Inc
  • 1989-1993: Home detention officer, Marion County Community Corrections
  • 1988-1989: Conditional release officer, Marion County Justice Agency[2]

The city of Indianapolis, Indiana, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A partisan primary election took place on May 5, 2015. The filing deadline for major party candidates who wished to run in this election was February 6, 2015. The filing deadline for independent or minor party candidates was July 15, 2015.[3] Twenty-five city council seats were up for election. Indianapolis's four at-large seats were not up for election, because those seats were scheduled to expire at the end of 2015.[4]

In the Republican primary election for District 20, Jason Holliday ran unopposed. In the Democratic primary, Jon Easter also ran unopposed. Holliday defeated Easter in the general election. Incumbent Frank Mascari (D) ran for election to the District 21 seat.[5]

Jason Holliday is a life-long resident of the southwest side of Indianapolis having graduated from Decatur Central High School as well as Franklin College, Franklin Indiana.

Jason Holliday has been extensively involved in the community having been a member of many civic and service organizations - often fulfilling leadership roles within those organizations. Some of the organizations in which Jason has been a member as well as served in leadership capacities include but are not limited to: Decatur Township Civic Council (Secretary, Legislative Affairs Committee, Chair, Land use Committee); Decatur Central Lions' Club; Southwest Multiservice Center (President); and Community Centers of Indianapolis - Board of Directors.

Jason Holliday has worked in various capacities in both the private and governmental sectors. Within the private sector, Jason has been Vice President of a company and in charge of its day - to - day operations as well as success.

Within government, Jason Holliday was elected to serve on the Indianapolis/Marion County City/County Council, several terms on the Decatur Township Board, and elected to serve as the Decatur Township Assessor. Jason spent several years as one of the Township Administrators for the City of Indianapolis. This gives him the insight and understanding to maneuver city hall and provide constituent services as the City County Councilor for District 20.

My parents, Kash and Ann Holliday. They taught me that the community is something to which you give and not take. They did this by serving in elected offices as well as involvement in civic and service organizations, as I've done as well.
