National final season has come to an end and we now have the chosen ones who will move on to compete at Eurovision. However, many of the other entries that didn’t make it will remain on our playlists for some time. To celebrate these acts, it’s time for our countdown of Team Wiwi’s Top 50 national final songs of Eurovision 2025.

The team here at wiwibloggs have voted for our favourite songs that competed in the national finals for Eurovision 2025 but were not selected for Basel. Over 140 of this year’s songs received points from our jurors. Now, we’re ready to share which of them made it into our Top 50. We’ll reveal ten tracks each day until we reach the winner.

Note this is not an objective list, but is determined by the personal votes of a panel of wiwibloggers. We encourage you to share your own personal favourites in the comments below.

Let the countdown continue!

Many of these are quite good.

Janek “Frozen” stands out as being a slick pop song written really effectively in partnership with Kjetil Mørland. It’s also an ironic form of musical expression, expressing an end to feeling in a really emotive way.

P.S. Elodie is fantastic, and I hope she gets to represent Italy one day.

Elodie has said she doesn’t want to go to Eurovision.

40 – Rkomi: Il ritmo delle cose (Italy) – This year’s Sanremo had several songs underrated, especially those by women, but also this one. Such a fun, rhythmically memorable song.  39 – Nelli Matula: Hitaammin hautaan (Finland) – Looking back, I don’t think that UMK was any less quality than in 2022, for instance, and performances were all great. A nod to Goldielocks, Neea River, and Costee too, but it’s this nice-flowing pop song celebrating chilling at home that actually managed to make my top 40.  38 – Barbz: Sirens (Greece) – Based on the live performance alone, this would’ve… Read more »

About Nelli Matula “Hitaammin hautaan” – This is in my top 10, largely because when transcribed to piano, it’s really beautiful. There is much more depth in the music here than just chilling at home https://youtu.be/23LmvRnhPc4?si=JMc3WDEyyFIIVO0c I love “Heaven Sent” as well, but for totally different reasons. I just love the fun of pop opera mixed with disco, the orchestral strings, and the funny musical joke lyrics like “but that part is not important” just before the Verse cuts short (haha), and “it’s so pretty that it’s stupid” when the melody scoops back up again for no reason (it only… Read more »

Apart from Citi Zeni I’m passing this bunch of songs tbh. Bobbi Arlo was good until I watched this live and Elodie has given us better songs in the past.
