All three Benelux nations are back once again at Eurovision 2025. Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg are all aiming to bring the trophy back to the western European region.
In Belgium, it’s the turn of Flemish broadcaster VRT to field an act for Eurovision. They revived their selection show Eurosong, with eight acts in the running. In the end, it was Red Sebastian who caught everyone’s attention and will get the “Strobe Lights” flashing in Basel.
Waving the Luxembourg flag will be Laura Thorn. She was selected through the TV show Luxembourg Song Contest, where her song “La Poupée Monte Le Son” emerged as the strong favourite.
The Netherlands are the most recent Benelux nation to secure a Eurovision victory. Claude is hoping to keep it that way by adding another win to the country’s tally. His entry “C’est La Vie” sees the Dutch star singing in French — the first time the nation has ever sent an entry in this language.

Easily Belgium amazing instrumentation and actual chorus/melody.
I love Luxemburgs song this year! Idk why it’s so underrated in the fandom, it’s much better than their entry last year imo.
Claude’s song is enjoyable but it is the kind of song you could hear 10-15 years ago on french radio… Nothing really interesting. Very warm and pleasant voice though. Laura’s song has this retro vibe that I like and the references to France Gall’s song 60 years ago make me smile. Perhaps not the best of the bunch but terribly underestimated by fans. Red Sebastian is giving us pure rave song, a music style that fits really well to Belgian and Dutch culture. He has an impressive voice and a great technique but I can totally understand why it irritates… Read more »
The Netherlands winning this poll is just a joke, guys. It will be a big failure. I don’t think the jury will appreciate it because the song itself is average, there’s nothing exciting about it. And the televoters won’t go crazy for it either.
It’s a respectable entry but really nothing groundbreaking. The video clip kinda reminded of an attempt to mimic Stromae’s Papaoute, lol.
What makes you think it’s a big failure , if you don’t like it ,fair enough. There’s other people who love it . There’s still 36 entries out there and feel free to pick what you like and be excited with it.
I noticed people saying Belgium is their favorite end up being downvoted. Not sure why?! It’s a fun song with playful lyrics and a great vocal performance. National final performance visually looked amazing. I just love it and it’s probably my most listened song this season. Hope he does better than Belgium did last year.
Can’t say anything bad about the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Hope all of them qualify for the finals. And I can see at least 2 of them finishing TOP 10 this year.
Netherlands is the only half-decent one.
I absolutely love all 3 entries! But C’est La Vie is my favorite! I also love Claude’s dancing.
Both the Netherlands and Belgium are in my top 3 – unlike Luxembourg, which is in my bottom 3.
My ranking would be: N*th*rlands, Lux*mbourg, B*lgium
As a native French speaking person I can’t put The Netherlands #1, the lyrics in French don’t make much sense, though the song is great. So It’s gonna Luxembourg for me, great lyrics about empowering woman, voice and song structure are a 10/10.
What do you mean it don’t make sense , it still French right ! on the interview with wiwibloggs he said the French spoken in Congo is slightly different than in France and Belgium. The French he used on the lyrics is simple for people to understand .As a native French speaker you should be honored if a person speaks or sings in your language instead of criticizing them. What about the other way around , ask a native French speaker to sing in native Dutch language
I agree with you, but the French are very particular about their language and don’t like it to be “butchered” (as they put it). I remember my grandmother, a native French speaker from a French-speaking town in Southern Mexico, had a tough time in France because the locals ridiculed the way she spoke. They even mocked her to the point where she felt compelled to learn textbook Metropolitan French. Her dialect was pro-drop, less nasal, and had influences from Spanish and Nahuatl, with some unique loanwords. For example, instead of saying “je ne sais pas,” she would simply say “ne… Read more »
I like all 3 songs but Claude is my big favorite
Belgium I think. I don’t like The Netherland’s for some reason. I can’t connect with that melody.
The Netherlands 9.5/12
Luxembourg 7/12
Belgium 2/12
I don’t really like any if them to be fair, but if I had to choose I would pick Luxenbourg. It’s outdated in a cute way.
They’re all in my top 10 this year. But the Netherlands sits at my #1 so I gotta go with that.
Belgium has the only one of the three I actually like. I think it’s that nostalgic club sound that brings me back to the late 90s/early noughties and had an energy which fires me up.
Netherlands’ song is sung beautifully and is a well-thought out competition. I can appreciate it completely and it deserves to be doing so well in the polls, even though it isn’t to my personal taste.
Luxembourg is very peppy and cutesy. Not my cup of tea at all, but it does it’s thing well.
Luxembourg, don’t like the others. The song is an homage to the contest done in a fun and clever way.
Voted for the 3.
Last year was stronger overall. Luxembourg had the worst song yet they still placed best lol. Belgium can pull an upset this year
Shoot me, but I prefer Luxembourg
Contrary to others groups of countries, I think that this year the Benelux countries have got three decent songs. I hope they three do well. My favourite is Luxembourg.
netherlands
I think all three are quality songs in their specific category of pop.
