Definitely love Key's works (Aside from Kanon, though I think the VN in particular was what ruined it for me). It's also great to find someone who didn't hate Aku no Hana based on the rotoscoping, haha (: I'm actually embarrassed by how long it took me to find Yansim, considering that it has everything I'm interested in :P
Good review of The Cat Returns. I enjoy it as a cute movie, and it has things in it that are from Whisper of the Heart, but it's really a let-down from Studio Ghibli. Then again, if it wasn't made by Studio Ghibli, I would probably dislike it because I wouldn't be giving it any kind of attention - I may not have even finished it. Studio Ghibli is so good that even their lesser movies deserve a chance. :)
i know school days is garbage. also the ones you put below besides Rurouni Kenshin really don't interest me to much. Clannad, and a few others are the only ones i fell do it well
