I'm totally guilty of that crime I agree, but hear me out. I have almost entirely stopped watching anime recently. Started playing Genshin Impact and Star Rail a few months ago, and since then farming artifacts/relics and primogems/stellar jades is basically all I have been doing every day and all day. I don't see any going back from this tbh, at least for a few more months. Once you fall into that rabbit hole, it's extremely hard to get out of haha.

Yeah sure. I am a fan of Mushoku Tenseia and some of the complaints are weird for sure.

For me there's a difference between slow, and getting nowhere in three and a half episodes. In the first season you could see the story progressing in each episode, now it's just moping and impotence for 3 weeks and then a random event that kicks the story into gear.
And I don't hate the character, I just think depression and erectile dysfunction don't make a good story, they're either too bleak and boring, or if taken for a joke they're inane and childish. I want adventure and action from MT, not episode after episode of moping and crying.

Mushoku Tensei was pretty original, but now it seems to copy itself in some aspects. (It was a problem with Bleach too.)

MT this far was a fantasy-action isekai with some ecchi elements, but for the first 4 eps this season it turned into a depression-themed hentai slice of life. I'm not saying hentai slice of life is a bad thing per se, I just enjoyed the original show and don't like the change. I don't understand why the creators changed the tone and themes of the show that worked perfectly fine.

It's silly to say I don't like the character, because I watched the show this far and liked it pretty much. What I don't like is what the writers are NOW DOING TO THE CHARACTER.

I don't care what other shows do, my problem is the first 4 eps of this season copied major elements of the first season, which is lame. I don't want to rewatch the same story over and over again.

I specifically said nothing OF SUBSTANCE has happened, and I stand by that statement. The actual story didn't move forward a micrometer until the messenger arrived with the news that Rudy's mother has been found, and everything up to that point could have been condensed into one episode at most. We didn't need to waste 4 weeks on filler.
