"Takes One To Know One."

Tim (Paul Rudd) is a board member and his boss is very pleased with him. He even has a promotion waiting for him. But first Tim must find the perfect guest for the monthly dinner party, ''Dinner for Idiots'', organized by his boss. And he succeeds. However, when he turns out to have found the biggest stupid idiot ever in IRS employee Barry (Steve Carell), the dinner seems to go a little differently than before. Barry seems to manage to ruin the lives of anyone who is in his company for even a few minutes.

Exhausting.

Most comedies still seem to want to go somewhere, but this movie doesn't seem to be shot that way. It almost seemed as if the actors were just being put down and the next prank really just popped into their heads at that moment.

Carell really isn't a bad actor, and this type convincingly somehow is. However, it's not really funny anywhere. We were able to laugh a few times about his dry appearance, but that is mainly due to the fact that Carell really seems to want to do this.

Rudd doesn't add too much in the end. Galifianakis only gets a very limited role and the rest just depends. None of them are really nice either. Everything seems to come from Carell, but he just can't save it either. He simply has no support.

Story is complete jerk. Again, it almost seems to have been made up on the set on the spot. In addition, it is also quite tiring. 1 uncomfortable stroke is still ok, 2-3 maybe too, but there is a limit. And it continues to rely on it. It's just not that funny.

Laughed once or twice, but otherwise I haven't been able to laugh much for a film that stuffs itself completely with jokes. Often made too busy or simply even tiring. And then it takes 114 minutes too. Just leave it at 90 minutes and it might have gone the smooth way.

Hilarious film that occasionally takes very strange turns making it very unbelievable. All in all, a fun movie, although it could have been a lot more.
