Kapsalon Romy plot
Romy's mother has to work a lot. That's why Romy visits her grandmother every day after school. If you think it's fun, you're wrong. Because grandma Stine is very busy with her own hair salon and is also quite strict with Romy. But everything changes when Romy discovers that her grandmother also has a completely different side.

For children or not, this was another very nice video by Mischa Kamp (Het Paard van Sinterklaas, Boys). Beautifully acted by Beppie Melissen and Vita Heymen who plays Romy also does very well, for such a young person. Subdued, touching, funny... When Beppie kicks out the home care woman: 'I didn't order anyone!' haha...
With a film about dementia, or any disease for that matter, you soon run the risk that it will all become very predictable. But the predictability is intelligently subtly circumvented here. Let's put it this way, the predictability didn't irritate me, which I did with a movie like Still Alice. The sentimental is not so overly prominent here and pity is not forced. It is especially the serenity that the film exudes that moved me so much.
And the cat, which is also so nice and cat-like.

From start to finish, this movie was a great viewing experience. Camera work and editing are very good. The acting performances of the two protagonists are of an extraordinary realism, which lifts the film above the average Dutch film. Together with Kauwboy one of the best Dutch films in recent years and which can be enjoyed by both young and old.

Beautiful Dutch film. Yes, they are still made sometimes. The girl plays really GREAT. The rest of the cast does a good job too. Beautiful shot, realistic dialogues, good music. Just a gem of a movie. So watch!!!!
