I got to see the last attack movie in cinemas a month and a half ago, and lemme tell ya my heart was beating rapidly all the way, and it made me feel so emotional and heartbroken (AOT gave me indigestion). yeah i had quite a large friend group in college that all watched anime and was good, nowadays i only have a couple friends and they also watch anime too so works out nicely. honestly im the same as u lol, 20 and need to get out to some conventions but i just got no moneyz, need a job first :(

yep watching seasonals is an absolute chore, even the ones who do it for a living like gigguk on yt openly express how it is painful to watch it all so just stick to the good stuff. frieren is amazing glad u found someone to watch it with!

thanks! yep anime is getting quite big in the uk, went from pre covid, in schools and among young people that no one knew what anime was now in 2025 im at the end of uni and now everyone ive talked in the last few years has known about it or watches it.

wales is nice however past few years ive been living in england for university and not gonna lie i probably wont return to living in wales haha. definetely a nice place to visit though!

and yes redo of healer was so controversial on release but despite its edgy and darker themes its a genuinely good revenge story lol

also dont worry about the number of anime you watch, its about what you have watched not how many cos half of the stuff ive watched i likely wouldnt watch now if it released cause it was mid lol

I can't recommend the Monogatari series enough, it's god-tier!
I also really recommend Oreimo if you want to start a siscon anime. It's really fun to watch, and Kirino is a great combo of imouto + tsundere!

I just read your Beheneko review minutes ago. I actually agree with most of the criticism pertaining to the main character and just how much of a non-existent non-entity he is, in a situation where even the lightest drops of more personality and characterization could go a hugely long way. I don't care a great deal since I normally don't watch a lot of ecchi and/or harem comedy type series and didn't go into this one expecting great writing, but it would be nice if there were more there.

But I was confused by this portion of your review:

This isn't an isekai series. I wasn't sure if you had actually missed or were forgetting the first episode, or if you were just using "isekai" as a synonym for "fantasy" or reincarnation/tensei in this instance.
