Melanie C

Best known as a member of the Spice Girls, Melanie C has gone on to a successful solo career that includes hit records spanning a number of genres from post-Brit Pop to show tunes. She initially conquered the globe as a Spice Girl in the late 1990s, selling millions and topping charts with Spice and Spiceworld. As the group went on hiatus, she released 1999's Northern Star, her biggest U.K. hit to date. It was followed by a steady succession of releases that maintained her chart presence throughout Europe, including Reason (2003), Beautiful Intentions (2005), and This Time (2007). 2011's The Sea signaled a rejuvenation for the singer, as did a 2012 collection of show tunes that coincided with a stint as a stage actor. Chisholm returned to the charts with 2016's Version of Me and 2020's Melanie C, and authored her 2021 memoir, Who I Am: My Story.
