Kilmarnock 2-2 Queen’s Park | Under 18s
Kilmarnock’s Under 18s picked up a point in their CAS Elite League clash against Queen’s Park.
Jack Allan and Grant Marchant bagged the goals for Chris Burke’s side as they played out a draw with the Spiders.
Grant Marchant looked sure to score after 8 minutes as the ball was laid off well to him, but it was well blocked by the visitors’ defence on the line.
4 minutes later Killie were ahead as Jack Allan opened the scoring with a powerful low drive from close range.
Craig Watson – the younger brother of David – went close with a free-kick after 19 minutes, he couldn’t quite keep it down though as it flew narrowly over the crossbar.
Queen’s Park equalised in the 34th minute as a low show crept past Michael Mullen in the Killie goal.
Killie were then back in front after 68 minutes when Marchant latched on to a low ball across the goal as he fired home from a couple of yards out to restore the lead.
Queen’s Park got themselves level late on as they grabbed an equaliser in the 89th minute.
