PPEXP1 & PPEXP2 are two expander modules for Pamela's PRO Workout that both offer additional dedicated fixed clock, Din Sync & MIDI clock outputs.

Extend Pam as a master to clock external gear with super solid dedicated MIDI & Din Sync clock outputs. The Din Sync clock (x24) and Run outputs can also be patched into a 2nd Pam to easily sync it.

Use the extra fixed clocked gate outputs to free up Pam's main outputs for unique sequencing or complex modulation duties.

Some of the key features:

Three primary modes: VOLTAGES, NOTES and COMBO.

VOLTAGES mode:

Up to 16 voltage storage locations (grid) with 8 voltages stored at each location.

You have the choice to record and playback your recall of these locations in a looper style (just play freely and spend arbitrary amount of time at any location) or as a clocked sequence (SH-101 style). Additionally you can traverse the matrix using the X and Y CV inputs to get Cartesian style sequencing.

There is also variable slew that allows you to morph/glide between the values.

NOTES mode:

You can create sequences or loops in chord, scales or keyboard mode. The isomorphic keyboard grid can vary from 4 notes to 12 notes max. There are real-time performance looping, transposition and inversion capabilities via the CV inputs and dedicated loop button. In sequencer mode each step can be a tie, rest, or gate with size 25/50/75%. Basically we have created a way to very quickly and intuitively make chord sequences that are very musical and easy to manipulate. It is difficult to summarize in words but we will be sure to create some videos to demonstrate how easy and fun this is to play with. It definitely represents something unique in the landscape of Eurorack sequencers.

COMBO mode:

In this mode you can loop record your performance on any combination of the following functions:

fader, bipolar fader, drum hit, switch or LFO. Kind of like Elektron style parameter locking but all of the motions is recorded continuously instead of just in slices. Instantly turn a simple patch into a highly animated and complex beast.

With all of the above mentioned loop recording modes you can very easily overdub since the Tetrapad detects pressure/pressing. In combo mode you can erase individual channels.

All modes allow for internal or external clocking and configurable syncing.

All of the modes have special XYZ CV modulation assignments and make use of the dedicated CV outputs.

For example, in Looper mode one of the CV outputs generates a continuous ramp that represents the position in the loop. This can be used with devices like the Planar 2 in Interpolation mode to sync the recorded patterns together no matter what tempo.

Notes: Originally designed for the Metropolix 1.4 MIDI update, the USB Extender extends the USB Micro connector on the back of a module, bringing it to the front panel for easy connection to your USB Host.

The 3U panel, includes a dual passive mult, which is great for splitting output signals to other modules. You can swap the panel with a Phillips-head screwdriver. The 1U panel does not have mults.

Also included is a 60CM Right-Angle Micro USB to Micro USB cable for routing the connection beneath the modules.

This module comes with a custom USB cable that connects on the back of the module to the Metropolix. The product comes with both 3U and 1U faceplates so you have the option to use it in either space.

Notes: The Qx expander adds an EOR (End Of Rise) and an EOF (End Of Fall) trigger/gate output to each of Quadrax's four channels, enabling Quadrax's envelopes, cycles, bursts and LFOs to trigger external modules.

Notes: AXON-2 is an 8HP expander module for the SQUID SALMPLE, MFX and Pamela's PRO Workout that like the AXON-1 provides 4 additional freely assignable CV inputs but additionally adds manual offset controls and 2 additional 'performance' buttons.

The addition of AXON-2 increases the Squid, MFX or Pam PRO's total number of CV inputs by 4, greatly increasing the possibilities for vast modular manipulation. Each of the CV inputs includes an offset for hands on control over parameters assigned to CV. Per assignment digital attenuation and offset via the host module is also available for fine tuning the modulation or control over parameters.

The AXON-2's large buttons are great for controlling select functions in a live performance environment or adding convenient quick navigation shortcuts when making edits. The buttons functionality and assignability are dependent on the host module. See respective manuals for details.

NOTE: AXON-2 support requires the latest firmware be installed for Pam Pro (120 or newer), Squid (187 or newer) and MFX (105 or newer).

Notes: Creatively inspiring business from Xaoc as usual. The Erfurt is a digital phase accumulator, digital oscillator, binary counter or clock/audio frequency divider. Versatile stuff.

Xaoc Devices Erfurt is a digital module that may be used as an 8-output clock and audio frequency divider, a bi-directional binary counter, or a component of the Leibniz binary system, i.e. a programmable digital oscillator.

Erfurt features an 8-bit register which holds its current state: an 8-bit number representing digital values from 0 to 255. The state is available at the front panel via eight binary (5V gate) outputs and reflected by the 8 status LEDs. There are three clock inputs: one incrementing the state at each impulse, one decrementing, and one resetting the state to zero. The state may also be changed manually with two buttons.

When operating alone, the state of Erfurt changes by 1 at each impulse from the clock inputs, so that it counts from 0 to 255 in a cycle (modulo 256). This yields the signal frequency divided by 2, 4, 8, etc. up to 128, available at individual bit outputs. Depending on which clock input is used, the clock patterns correspond to the so called mathematical or musical divisions of the rhythm.

With two different clocks patched to the inputs, the counter alternately increases and decreases its state, and ultimately it counts with a rate proportional to the frequency difference between the clocks. A third clock patched to the Reset input may be used to shorten the sequence thus making the cycle incomplete for even more rhythmic diversity.

When there is a Leibniz data source connected at the back (even as simple as Lipsk), the state increases or decreases in larger steps, depending on the data present at the Leibniz bus (eg. the value programmed by the Lipsk buttons). The counter overflows quicker, and produces more complex patterns.

The state of the counter may be used as a phase input to a digital wave table. Connected to other Leibniz modules, Erfurt may play various roles, eg. it may scan waveshapes in Jena, produce stepped voltages useful for making interesting glissandi with Drezno and any VCO, generate gate patterns animating the spectrum of Odessa harmonic banks, spawn pseudo-chaotic sequences when fed back to Lipsk, etc. Since Erfurt is based on CMOS logic (no CPU!), it can be clocked at very high frequencies (exceeding audio rate), therefore some selection switches are provided for clock pre-scaling.

Notes: Lipsk facilitates the inversion of the individual bits produced by Drezno (or any other module connected to its input header at the back), and delivers the resulting code to its output header. Bit inversion can be manually controlled by pressing any of combination of its eight illuminated buttons, or it can be automated by patching gate signals into its gate input sockets. An active (5V) gate flips the state of the respective bit. If the button is active (bit already flipped), then the gate flips the bit again yielding double inversion (no inversion). The corresponding LEDs show the combined effect of both manual and gate actions. The bit processing logic is hardware-based, so there is virtually no latency, allowing the binary signals to be manipulated at extreme rates.

Notes: EME (Eloquencer MIDI Expansion) is the perfect companion for the Eloquencer, adding capabilities to sync with MIDI devices, control most of the eloquencer parameters with MIDI interfaces, generating MIDI voices from the eloquencer tracks, and converting MIDI signals to the eurorack world.

MIDI CLOCK
Eloquencer can receive 24ppqn sync from MIDI device from its DIN-5 MIDI Input, and can send 24ppqn MIDI clock through its DIN-5 MIDI out.
When working as 'internal' it will send the internal clock to the MIDI output.
When working as 'external' will send the eurorack incoming clock to the MIDI output transformed into 24ppqn.

MIDI OUT
The Eloquencer tracks can be independently assigned to:
- Voice events (note on/off, velocity, ch pressure...) For example Track A can be assigned to Channel 1 Note on/off and Track B can be assigned to Channel 1 Velocity, so track A gates and CV control Channel 1 notes and pitch, and track B controls Channel 1 Velocity.
- Control Change (CC)
- Program Change (PC)

The gate and CV output will work as usual when a MIDI OUTPUT is assigned, so voices can be doubled using the modular and an external synth.

There's a particular execution order for MIDI out events, so the first to be launched is the Program Change, followed by the CC and then the voice events. This way, we can launch program changes before the note on message is received allowing preset changes for each step.

MIDI IN
Both, the DIN-5 MIDI in and the USB can be used to change eloquencer parameters using controllers or to introduce notes in REC MODE using a keyboard.

There are 3 different groups of controls associated to MIDI channels:
- Channel : 8 MIDI channels to control parameters of specific tracks from A to H
- Global : 1 MIDI channel to control Global parameters.
- Focus: 1 MIDI channel to control the parameters of the currently selected track (track in focus). That means that if Track A is selected and we send CC 38, we will be shifting track A, but if we select track B and we send the same CC 38, we will be shifting track B.

When using the USB host input, the EME can send feedback information in case the controller that is being used has LEDs to be updated.

There is a big amount of eloquencer parameters that can be controlled using an external MIDI interface / controller. For example:

MIDI INTERFACE

A MIDI Channel can be assigned to an Eloquencer Track, so the gate and CV outputs will stop listening to what is sequenced and start listening all note on/off messages coming from the chosen MIDI channel.

Notes: Gate Expander for Sweet Sixteen mkII.

This is an expander, brings 8 gate inputs for the Sweet Sixteen mkII.

The panel is reversible, so jacks & buttons can be in the left or right side.

The orientation of the 10 pin ribbon cable is marked by the 'do not plug power here!' legend on the PCB, so it could be with the red stripe facing that in both GESS and Sweet Sixteen mkII modules.

Notes: Erica Syths Black VC EG Expander takes the Black VC EG to the next level - it outputs gates or CVs for each active stage of the envelope so you can design some really advanced patches. Inverted and bipolar envelope outputs are also available.

Erica Black series are high-end modules with unique functionality. Only the highest quality components are used and all inputs and outputs are protected against undesired overvoltage. When designing the Black Series, we did not economise on the module width, we put design and usability first. Big knobs are assigned to functions that make difference in sound. Together the Erica Black series are a range of modules that make an entire synthesizer.

NB: This expander module can be connected only to the Black VC EG. It will not work as a standalone eurorack module.

Notes: The Doepfer A-126-2exp is an expander for the A-126-2 Voltage Controlled Frequency Shifter.

It adds two outputs from the Dome filter (+45 and -45 degrees) as well as separate outputs from the ring modulators 1 and 2, and from the internal envelope generator. Furthermore, it offers dedicated outputs for Up and Down Shift, allowing the module to be patched in stereo.

Notes: Welcome to the DROID X7 expander. The X7 gives you USB and MIDI connectivity for your master and also four gate outputs with modular levels.

You can process incoming and generate outgoing MIDI streams, both via classical DIN cables and via USB. Both the in and the out direction support polyphony with eight or even more voices in parallel.

For size reasons the X7 uses 3.5 mm TRS jacks for MIDI instead of the classical DIN jacks. But it comes with two DIN to TRS adapters, so you are free to use either form factor.

As a bonus feature, the X7 provides super fast loading of DROID patches via USB - without any need for putting the SD card in and out anymore.

Here are some examples of what you can do with the X7:

Attach an external keyboard to your modular.
Use an external hardware sequencer for playing melodies and beats in your modular.

Messor is an analogue stereo compressor with lots of tricks up its sleeve, in only 8HP.

From squashing drums, sidechaining kicks and sculpting transients, to glueing a mix together, it's a very versatile dynamics manager.

At its core it's a VCA based feed-forward compressor with a low noise signal path. The magic is in the internal sidechain that shapes the gain reduction envelope. This starts with a a switchable high-pass / low-pass filter, before going into a precision envelope follower, controlled by familiar parameters: the attack, release, threshold, ratio and makeup gain.

The ratio can go past limiting and into over-compression, which can completely reshape transients, a great tool for sound design.

Being modular, of course there are CV inputs for Attack, Release and the side-chain Filter cutoff. The Gain CV controls the makeup gain, but also doubles as a Stereo VCA with the Gain knob turned fully CCW.

The gain reduction envelope is also available as an output, for turning filters or other VCA's into compressors for example, or as a standalone envelope follower.

There's a bypass switch, and a Warm mode, that can bring in a bit of additional saturation and compression in the form of analog tube simulation circuitry.

Lastly there's the possibility to insert an external sidechain, for that classic kick sidechain compression.

Mixer section

Each channel has the following:

Stereo or mono - Each channel can be treated as a stereo channel or a mono channel with two summed inputs.

CV inputs for both panning and level control

Two send buses - You can route each channel to one of two send buses. Each send bus is stereo. You can choose if you want the send to come before or after the level/panning controls.

Mute - The mute has both latching mute (up) and a momentary mute (down). The mute uses a capacitor to slow the turn off and on of the mute action. So it is mostly click-less, but you may find an occasional pop.

Cue bus - You can route each channel to the cue bus.

Expandable Mixer Series

Bartenders can be cascaded to create 8ch, 12ch, or 16ch mixer. The main level is what is sent the main level control can act as a group control.

Barbacks can be added to add 2ch to your mix. Barbacks can also be cascaded enabling up to a 16ch mixer configuration.

Send-VCA can be added for CV control of the level of the send.

DVCA, Cast Iron, Mingles, and USB-2CH can all be connected with Dupont cables (aka female to female breadboard cables) via pin headers on the back of the modules. Connecting the in and out pins will send/receive the audio into the next module.

By connecting to Bohumin, Ostrawa gains a second full stereo AUX bus with voltage control over the amount of the effect on each channel. MIDI sources connected to LOCUTUS’ MIDI IN port can be used to modulate Assimil8or parameters using velocity, channel pressure, and MIDI CC (Continuous Controller) messages, select presets using MIDI Program Change (PC) messages, and/or optionally trigger Assimil8or channels with MIDI notes using user-selectable assignment modes. MIDI Setups can be configured with assignment modes including Dynamic, which intelligently cycles through Assimil8or’s channels to easily create polyphonic patches, Multi assignment modes ideal for playing multitimbral Assimil8or patches with MIDI sequencers, SP-1200 modes designed especially for triggering Assimil8or with SP-1200’s MIDI output, and more.

Locutus’ MIDI OUT port can be used to optionally transmit program messages when presets are changed and/or to send MIDI CC data based on the analog control voltages patched to Assimil8or’s 24 CV inputs. Using the new CV-to-MIDI options, Assimil8or and Locutus can be configured to control and modulate MIDI equipment using a eurorack modular system.

Notes: This Expander module provides hands-on adjustment over all bands' boost and cut without the need to select bands via pushbuttons on the Graphic Resonant Filterbank module. This makes sound design with the Graphic Resonant Filterbank much easier.

Notes: The HEARTBEAT EXTENDER expands the functionality of the HEARTBEAT module. It is connected to the HEARTBEAT module with a small ribbon cable (included) and offers following features:

Six preset buttons to store and recall different tempos with one button press

MIDI in and out sockets with LED indicators: The HEARTBEAT module can follow incoming MIDI timing data (MIDI start/stop/clock) as an additional option; and the current tempo of the HEARTBEAT is sent out as MIDI timing data if it acts as master clock in a complete system - other MIDI devices will follow it's tempo.

A knob that controls either the swing amount or the transition time when changing from one preset to another (known as accelerando/ritardando).

A lock switch, that disable the save button and other functions that could be an issue e.g. in live situations.

Notes: Breakout for the ISE-NIN Voice

Extensive outputs, open-ended Functionality

The output section of the ISE-NIN BREAKOUT is a perfect match for the voice. Each waveform for each oscillator has its own independent instrument, as does each envelope and the inverse of envelope 1, each filter and slope, each LFO waveform, noise and low noise, and mix. There's also a dedicated headphone output so you can enjoy ISE-NIN without waking the neighbours. You'd be hard pressed to find as much tonal range, as many distinctive vintage Japanese tones, or as much expandability with as much horsepower as ISE-NIN VOICE and its BREAKOUT.

Notes: Octo I/O is a bi-directional passive Polytip to 3.5mm expander and a Polytip Mult. The expander section lets you break out to each individual voice from a polyphonic module. The mult section lets you mult Polytip polyphonic signals from one source to multiple destinations. For example patching the OCTOSTAGES envelopes to control both your OCTOPASS filters and HEXAGAIN VCAs.

Notes: Skippy Exp is a tiny module in 2HP that adds "Play/Stop" and "Reset" functions to Skippy, either via a button or a CV input. It cannot operate independently; you absolutely need Skippy to use it.

For those who don't need the live adjustments offered by Skippy Live (or have run out of space!), Skippy EXP still provides two essential functions for dynamic performance.

This module cannot operate alongside Skippy Live, which already has these two functions. It can be placed either to the right or left of Skippy. The connector to link it to Skippy is included. This module does not need to be connected to power.

Notes: PM DB25 MKII is an expander output for the MKII versions of the Performance Mixer and Channels.

Pre-fade and Post-fade connections are available for all channels. The DB25 has 16 outputs. All mixer channels are stereo, so one DB25 handles the main PM MKII (either pre or post), and the DB25 can handle 2x Channels (either pre or post).

Simply connect the cable to the Pre or Post headers on the back of the PM MKII or Channels MKII modules to choose pre/post.

The PM MKII has an additional header with both Aux Sends, Master Bus, and Submix Bus.

Connect a DB25 cable of your choice to the front connector and then straight to your DAW or recording interface.

For use with original WMD Performance Mixer, an adapter board can be added on. Please note that width behind panel is increased by 8mm when adapter board is added on. This may require some clever position in your case. The original Performance Mixer still only offers Pre Fader Outputs.
