Abstract
Cette recherche vise à reconnecter la gestion des pratiques de consommation stigmatisée aux espaces de consommation. Définissant les espaces comme constitués dans l'interaction de dimensions idéologiques, sociales et matérielles, ce travail adopte une perspective spatiale dans l'observation des multiples tactiques de gestion de la stigmatisation mises en place par les consommateurs. Au travers d'une étude du port de la jupe par les hommes, cet article identifie la coexistence d'une pluralité d'espaces, reconstitue la façon dont la pratique requiert pour les porteurs de nombreux apprentissages pour naviguer entre ces derniers, et met en évidence l'idée qu'à la gestion de la stigmatisation est associée la gestion de l'espace. Cette recherche ouvre alors une réflexion sur la continuité entre les espaces, sur le travail de déstigmatisation engagé par les consommateurs dans et par les espaces, et amène à identifier des leviers de l'action marketing sur la revalorisation des pratiques stigmatisées.
