Hi Patricia

Thanks a lot for your email and your contributions.

Can you elaborate on the use case of the polygons?
What is the main purpose?
Do you want to draw and view the polygons exclusively on geonames website?
Do you want to import the polygons from other sources? Shall they be
exported to the daily extract, in which format?
How large will they be? (number of points - dozens or millions)

Best Regards

Marc

Hello Geonames Team,

I'm in similar situation, I work for a Global Mobility Company where we want to define polygons for districts or groups of existing administrative boundary so we can download it back as part of the premium services.
We only probably update 10-20 location  per year.
It will simplify the process of obtaining administrative boundaries , districts instead having to merge our custom data with Geonames data.

Kind Regards,

Anthony
