Abstract:
How do team interactions evolve between face-to-face and videoconferencing? This research compares eight hackathons in these two formats, from the perspective of Goffman's dramaturgical framework. Four key transformations are identified: delivering a line, performing on stage, engaging in the representation, and stepping backstage. The article reveals the impact of these interactional challenges on collaborative dynamics and highlights the need to consider them to guide decision-making regarding remote work.
