Notre organisation
As one of the Directorates-General of the European Commission, Eurostat falls under the responsibility of the Commissioner for Economy and Productivity; Implementation and Simplification.
Practical arrangements governing working relations between Commissioner Dombrovskis, his Cabinet and Eurostat represent the Commissioner’s commitment to ensuring that Eurostat remains the independent and trusted point of reference for data in Europe.

Directorate B: Standards; Dissemination; Cooperation in the European Statistical SystemResponsible for dissemination and user support, statistical standards, ESS governance, and EU enlargement.

Directorate C: Macro-economic statisticsResponsible for macro-economic data and statistics for administrative purposes.

Directorate D: Government finance statisticsResponsible for government finance statistics and, in particular, ensuring the implementation of the Excessive Deficit Procedure.
