In August 2025, the price of package holidays in the EU increased by 2.5% compared with August 2024. The price of domestic holidays recorded a higher increase (+6.8%) than the international holiday packages (+1.6%).

The prices of package holidays have increased at a more moderate pace since May 2025 (+1.7% compared with May 2024). For comparison, throughout 2024 and early 2025, annual increases were below 7% only in July 2024 and March 2025.

In August 2025, the highest price increases were recorded for the package holidays sold in Estonia, where prices rose by 39.5% compared with August 2024. Bulgaria followed with a 23.0% increase, ahead of Denmark with 12.0%. 

In contrast, 3 EU countries recorded price decreases: Belgium (-7.0%), Sweden (-5.6%) and Spain (-0.1%).

  • Package holidays (0960) include all-inclusive holidays or tours which provide for travel, food, accommodation, guides, etc. It also includes half-day and one-day excursion tours and pilgrimages. International holidays refer to holidays taking place in countries other than the country where the holidaymaker resides, while domestic holidays refer to holidays taking place within the holidaymaker’s residence country.
  • The data presented in this article reflects the price change at the time of purchase of the package holidays, not the time of travel.
