Phenylethylidenehydrazine (PEH ), also known as 2-phenylethylhydrazone or β-phenylethylidenehydrazine, is a GABA transaminase inhibitor .[ 1] [ 2] metabolite of the antidepressant phenelzine and is responsible for its elevation of GABA concentrations.[ 1] anxiolytic effects.[ 3]
