The WebXR Device API provides access
to virtual reality and augmented reality devices in compatible web browsers.
It is a product of the Immersive Web Community Group,
which has contributors from Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, and others. The "X" in
XR stands for anything in the spectrum of immersive experiences.
WebXR's Augmented Reality module allows for virtual content to be aligned with
the real-world environment before being displayed to users.
WebXR uses ARCore to power AR experiences on the Google Chrome browser on
Android devices.
