Review: Dennis Brown's No Man Is An Island is a prime example of the reggae legend's emotive vocals and unmatched delivery. Ready Natty Dreadie features non-stop highlights such as 'Pretty Looks' and 'Ten to One', the weighty low end of 'Full Up' and the magical top lines of 'Creation Rebel'. A crucial reissue.

Review: Twelve originals from Lone Ranger aka. Anthony Waldron, the Jamaican reggae DJ, first released in 1982. His sixth album, but nonetheless his first to be released on the reggae label Studio One (now reissued on the same label), this is a star piece of early Afrofuturist dub, equivocating badness behind the mics and tape delays with a Cold War-style space race. From 'Automatic' to 'Three Mile Shank', Lone Ranger guides us into the great cosmic vacuum for a meticulous blastoff.

Review: This is a killer collection of dubs from the 70s no matter how deep your love of this particular form goes. Originally intended as a 1971 sampler for Studio One tracks released on Bamboo in the UK, it was delayed due to the label's bankruptcy and eventually released in 1974 on Attack. Now, 50 years later, Studio One is reissuing the original album with two bonus tracks. For many years a long-out-of-print gem, the album features alternate takes of Ken Boothe's 'Moving Away' and Im and David's 'Heavy Beat' along with rarities like The Mystic Revelation of Rastafari's 'So Long Rastafari' and The Heptones' 'Suspicious Minds.' Do not sleep, this won't be around for long.
