Eastside Edits ensures a steady stream of funky edits, house, hip hop and disco on 7" vinyl, in a similar vein to our mainstay DJ Bacon. This is the fourth record to be released under their musical umbrella; two tracks, one per side, is the usual format, a convention to which this record more than gladly conforms. 'My Amour' on the A is label owner Jim Sharp's funky and bombastic remix-take on Stevie Wonder's melancholic hit 'Ma Cherie Amour'. The B-side, 'On My Steez', deals in a similarly potent concoction, sampling 90s girl band 702 and their track 'Steelo', flattening it into pure breaks and acapellas. Beautiful Ontarian calmer-downers.
