Deciding when to level or roll is a core mechanic within TFT, and failing to use them optimally will cost you games. Rolling and shop odds, champion pools, and even bag sizes change with each set. Riot Games made several significant changes to the Into the Arcane set, ranging from adding the powerful new six-cost units to minor system changes affecting XP gains. This article provides tips, tables, and strategies for TFT Set 14.

What is Stage player damage in TFT?

A system change through Set 11 adjusted player damage from 0/2/5/7/9/11/17/150 to 0/2/5/8/10/12/17/150. Each numerical value stands for damage per serving enemy at X Stage. In addition to the Stage damage values, surviving enemy damage applies.

Surviving enemy damage is plus one for every enemy champion that survived combat that round. The increase in damage at each stage makes it harder to hit level nine without a win or loss streak and/or Econ Augments/Charms.

Riot hasn’t announced Set 14 player damage changes at the time of writing.

Tip:

If a player dies, the champions on their board and bench return to the pool.

When to level up in TFT Set 14

In conjunction with the TFT rolling chance chart, each set has a meta that determines the most opportune times to level up and roll down for key units that can make up your endgame comp.

Tip:

Players typically roll at Stages 3-2, 4-1, and 5-1, with variety built into that standard based on win/loss streaks, economy, and power levels of a Teamfight Tactics lobby.

Leveling is unique to whatever comp you are playing, and there is no fixed rule for when you should level up. Consider leveling up after scouting the lobby and seeing whatever comp is uncontested. That being said, if you want some general guidelines on standard levelling-up opportunities, consider the following:

  • Level four: Stage 2-1.
  • Level five: Stage 2-5 or Stage 2-3 if seeking three-cost champions after the carousel.
  • Level six: Stage 3-2.
  • Level seven: Stage 3-5 or 4-1.
  • Level eight: Stage 4-2, 4-5, or 5-1.
  • Level nine: Stage 5-1, 5-5, or 6-1.
  • Level 10: Stage 6-1.

What level should you reroll for TFT Set 14 champions?
