He ensures that the EU builds long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with its international partners for our prosperity, resilience and security. He is responsible for: making the Global Gateway programme a trusted and quality brand throughout the world by accelerating the EU’s offer to its partners, including on infrastructure investment, measuring its impact and building its global profilebuilding on the Team Europe approach, mobilising resources from EU countries, public development or investment banks and development finance institutions, export credit agencies, and the private sectorleading the EU’s engagement in all just transition partnerships to help partner countries decarbonise the power sectorensuring the EU promotes the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals strengthening EU partnerships and deepening cooperation with Africa, Central Asia, Asia and the Indo-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbeansupporting a differentiated approach regarding Least Developed Countries by focusing more effectively on their specific vulnerabilities, as well as for conflict areas and fragile countriespromoting gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in the EU’s international cooperation and development policiesRead more about the EU’s Global Gateway programme and international partnerships.
