Fashawn's audio biography remains as relatable and fresh today as it was upon release and so to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Dirty Science Records and Coalmine Reissues present a special edition reissue of this timeless LP. Limited to 100 units, the black double album comes with hand-numbered hype stickers while Frank DeMaria redesigned the artwork and layout using original photos by the legendary B+.

Review: To mark the quarter-century anniversary of the release of La the Darkman's classic Heist of the Century album Coalmine Music have assembled this special 25th Anniversary Edition across two slabs of wax. The Brooklyn native has never officially repressed this one since first releasing it but it is one of the Wu-Tang Clan affiliate's finest hours. It has the same dark soul sound you would expect of anyone who has had anything to do with that collective along with some gritty production, killer boom-bap rhythms and heavyweight rap features like Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Havoc and Masta Killah.

Review: Versatility is the motto of Norwegian producer Ol' Burger Beats. When it comes to gossamer, gently textured sound design - incorporating faint, mindful meditative noise floors into accidental beats - this guy has had us covered for years. Since 2014, Ole-Birger Neergard has done it right, and now Yellow Dog adds to his repertoire jazz-razzed sample odyssey, centring focally on sound sources from gospel and Brazilian music. Whack on 'So They Say' for a taste of what we're talking; a stuttering glottal stop pokes out before the loop brace resets, as if to say, "don't speak, just listen."

The thematic basis of this album is the number 74, drawing on not just the year 1974 (the politics, the zeitgeist, the aesthetics, the activism) but the seemingly inexhaustible creative wellspring that is the tempo, 74 BPM. Unwavering in this commitment, this is both a formal and contented album, adept at its evocation of unique haze-moods ('Peace') and blazing, soporific wonks ('Running').
