Review: With 'Mirage', French cosmic dance vendors Intervision provide producer Saphilaeum a stellar welcome. The Georgian producer flexes his texturised, rainforested muscles on this new six-tracker, bringing a pellucid, bleary-eyed, temperate, coastal sonic vision to limited aquablue vinyl here. Riffing off the humidities of an imagined jungle found in the middle of pelagic nowhere, the likes of 'Guecko & Koala' and 'Ooga Booga' find a sense of joy and humour in the many effervescings of acoustic ritual dances and amplified synthetic sound; their fantastically primal aura let us seep into the surrounding thicket, as mind and body unrecognisably blur. By the closing off of 'Natural High', we sound to have emerged, rejuvenated, from a full, voracious, aloe vera-soaked vamp-dance.

Review:  Lost In Translation's debut release, Anthroposcene, is a vital coming together of various artists each with their own take on ambient. It is all airy soundscapes and lo-fi pads to start with from Saphileaum's 'Prologue' while Alfred Czital & Moon Patrol bring in some silky broken beats and warped electronics on 'Act I.' Human Space Machines's 'Act II' is deep rolling techno bliss and on the flip, we get everything from cavernous underwater soundscapes to Orca Silent's edgy dub 'Act IV' and Martinou's soothing closer 'Epilogue.'

Review: Norwegian online magazine Monument presents its second release titled The Scandinavian Forest. As expected, they've tapped some of the hypnotic techno genre's seasoned experts to deliver their take on deep and atmospheric dancefloor sounds. Highlights come from Dutch dub engineer Roger Gerressen with the heady greyscale minimalism of 'Angsalvor', the ever reliable Sebastian Mullaert will cast a spell on you with the arcane trance induction of 'Unwind' and rising Bavarian talent Polygonia hands in the strobe-lit frenzy of 'Stellar Rain' which will push you into mental overdrive.
