Hennepin County is in the process of updating its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. The plan shares information on our continued efforts to improve accessibility for all people along our transportation system. Most of this work involves improvements for people walking and rolling, particularly pedestrian curb ramps and accessible pedestrian signals.
Our goal is to reach full compliance for pedestrian ramps by the year 2040. This will happen through a mix of upgrades with pavement preservation, rehabilitation, and reconstruction projects.
