Mike Rawlings
Mike Rawlings (b. August 25, 1954) was the mayor of Dallas, Texas from 2011 to 2019. He was first elected in June 2011, and he was re-elected in 2015.[1] Rawlings was term-limited from running in 2019. While Dallas' mayoral office is nonpartisan, Rawlings is a member of the Democratic Party.[2]
Prior to serving as mayor, Rawlings was president of the Dallas Park Board, Dallas' homelessness czar, and chairman of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau.[3]
Biography
When he served as mayor, Rawlings' professional experience included working as the CEO of Tracy-Locke and Pizza Hut and as a managing partner of CIC Partners.[3]

The city of Dallas, Texas, held elections for mayor and city council on May 9, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 27, 2015. Early voting began on April 27, 2015.[4][5]
In the mayoral race, incumbent Mike Rawlings defeated Marcos Ronquillo and Richard P. Sheridan.[1][6]

2011
On May 14, 2011, Rawlings and David Kunkle advanced past two other candidates in a primary election. Rawlings defeated Kunkle in a runoff election on June 18, 2011.
