Michael Fanning
Michael Fanning (Democratic Party) is a judge of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. His current term ends in 2025.
Fanning is running for re-election for judge of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He is on the ballot in the retention election on November 4, 2025.[source]
Education
Fanning received his undergraduate degree from LaSalle University and his J.D. from Temple University.[1]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Fanning was a trial attorney for about 25 years. He also served as a Bucks County assistant district attorney in the child abuse unit.[2]

Fanning ran for an open seat on the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas. He lost the Democratic Party primary to a number of candidates on May 17. He received 2.9 percent of the vote in the Democratic primary.[6] He only filed with the Democratic Party.[7]
