Joy Watson
Joy Watson ran for judge on the Supreme Court 10th Judicial District in New York in 2012.
2012 election
Watson was one of twelve candidates running for six seats in the general election on November 6, 2012. She ran on the Republican and Conservative party tickets, receiving 6.81% of the vote as a Republican.[1][2]

Education
Watson received her undergraduate degree from The University at Albany in 1982 and her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1985.[4]
Career
At the time of her candidacy, Watson was the Deputy Comptroller for Nassau County and an adjunct professor at Molloy College. Previously, she worked in both the public and private sectors. Watson has been Of Counsel for the firm Sept & O'Mahony, the Principal Law Clerk for a 10th District Supreme Court Justice, Assistant District Attorney at the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, and a Teaching Fellow at Pepperdine University School of Law.[4]
