Harry Sidhu
Harry Sidhu was a member of the Orange County Water District in California, representing District 9. He assumed office on September 1, 2021. He left office on May 24, 2022.
Sidhu ran for election for Mayor of Anaheim in California. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Sidhu was a 2016 Republican candidate for District 68 of the California State Assembly.
Biography
Sidhu was born in India. He moved to the United States in 1974 and became a U.S. citizen in 1979. Sidhu obtained a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He moved to southern California in 1980, settling in Anaheim in 1994.[1]
Sidhu was a member of the Anaheim City Council from 2004 to 2012. He served as mayor pro tem from 2009 to 2011 and in 2012. Sidhu also previously served as chairman of Anaheim’s Budget Advisory Commission and on the city's audit committee.[1]

Elections for the California State Assembly took place in 2016. The primary election was held on June 7, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was February 25, 2016, for candidates filing with signatures. The deadline for candidates using a filing fee to qualify was March 11, 2016.[2] Incumbent Donald P. Wagner (R) did not seek re-election.
Steven S. Choi defeated Sean Jay Panahi in the California State Assembly District 68 general election.[3][4]
