Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
Shall the expired previously voted increase in the property tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution for Grand Haven Charter Township, Ottawa County, Michigan, for all purposes in any one year, be renewed for four (4) years, 2013 through 2016, inclusive, in the amount of .25 mill ($0.25 per thousand dollars of taxable valuation) for all property in the Township, for the purpose of providing funds to be paid to the North Ottawa County Council on Aging pursuant to a contract between the Council on Aging and Grand Haven Charter Township for the purpose of providing funds for senior citizen activities and general senior services provided by the Council on Aging; and shall the Township be authorized to levy the tax? The estimate of the revenue the Township will collect if the millage is approved and levied in its entirety in the 2013 calendar year is approximately $162,297.[1][2] |
