Erich E. Ponti is a former Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 69 from 2007 to June 19, 2015. He resigned to become executive director of the Louisiana Asphalt Pavement Association.[1]

Ponti earned his B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. His professional experience includes working as a general contractor.[2]

Ponti ran for District 2 of the Louisiana Public Service Commission in 2012. He faced Scott Angelle (R), Erich Ponti (R), Sarah Holliday (R), Forest Wright (D), and Greg Gaubert (no party affiliation) in the primary on November 6, 2012.[3] Angelle won the primary with more than the simple majority of the vote required to avoid a runoff.[4]

2011

On October 22, 2011, Ponti won re-election to District 61 of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He ran unopposed in the October 22 primary election, assuring his re-election.

2007
