David Knudson
David Knudson was a Republican member of the South Dakota State Senate from 2003 to 2011, representing the 14th District. In 2010, Knudson was ineligible to run under South Dakota's term limits. He ran for governor but was defeated in the Republican primary on June 8.[1] Prior to leaving the senate, he was the Majority Leader.
Knudson is a lawyer.

On Nov. 4, 2008, Knudson won re-election to the 14th District Seat in the South Dakota State Senate, defeating opponent Bob Stevens (D).[3]
Knudson raised $266,211 for his campaign while Stevens raised $13,581.[4]
