Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| Shall the tax limitation on general ad valorem taxes within Dundee Township imposed under Article IX, section 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased for said Township by one (1) mill ($1 per $1000 of taxable value which would, for example, result in a tax of $50 for a property with a taxable value of $50,000);
1. To provide funding for the construction and maintenance of a new Dundee Township Fire Hall and improvements (buildings and grounds); and 2. Provide funding for fire protection equipment, vehicles and maintenance for the Dundee Township Fire Department; and which 3. Shall be levied against all taxable property in Dundee Township for a period of ten (10) years being the tax years 2012 through 2021 inclusive; and 4. Which if approved will raise in the first year of such levy estimated revenue of $323,504.01.[3] |
