Language on the ballot:
| “ | This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance.
Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes that may be levied by the Clawson Public Schools, Oakland County, Michigan, against all property in the school district, except a principal residence and other property exempted by law, be increased by 18.6 mills (which is equal to $18.60 per $1,000.00 of taxable value of real and tangible personal property), for a period of 10 years, 2013 to 2022, inclusive, for the purpose of paying part of the operating expenses of the school district? The estimated amount of revenue that the school district will collect in the year 2013 if the millage is authorized and levied will be $1,746,605. The proposed millage is renewal of a previously authorized millage.[1][2] |
