Cameron Brown (b.July 6, 1954) was a Republican member of the Michigan State Senate, representing the sixteenth senate district from 2003 to January 1, 2011, serving as Assistant Majority Floor Leader. Due to Michigan term limits, Senator Brown did not run for re-election in the Michigan State Senate elections of 2010. [1]

On February 11, 2009, he announced his candidacy for the statewide office of secretary of state, the seat vacated by Terri Lynn Land, who was barred by state term limit laws from running for a third consecutive term in office.[2]

Brown failed to secure the Republican nomination at the party convention. Ruth Johnson received the nomination, instead.[4]
