Submitted Biography "My name is Kyle Langford, and I am running for Governor of California in 2026. I’m driven by a deep love for our state and a commitment to restoring its greatness through strong, decisive leadership. My political philosophy, Christian Eco-Nationalism, blends moral framework and law-and-order pragmatism with a unique Californian identity. It’s rooted in the belief that California’s decline stems from weak leadership, ethical decline, and deliberate systemic failures in infrastructure, energy, and public safety. Key Policy Priorities: Law and Order: I advocate for zero-tolerance crime policies, modernizing policing with AI, and using prison labor to rebuild our infrastructure. Economic Revitalization: I support "California First" energy independence, deregulation to retain businesses, and State-Work Contracts to guarantee jobs and housing for those willing to work. State Sovereignty: I prioritize building a Southern Border Wall, defending traditional values, and ensuring public safety through technology. My background in political organization and community leadership has shown me the urgent need for change. I am a Californian who sees the potential for a unified, prosperous, and safe state. My mission is to dismantle divisiveness, restore accountability, and prioritize law-abiding citizens. Together, we can put California back on the throne as a global leader, innovator, and example to follow for generations."

I am Kyle Langford, and my vision for California is clear: safety, prosperity, and sovereignty, guided by a moral framework rooted in Catholic values. Through zero-tolerance crime policies, we will make our communities secure. With energy independence and job-focused initiatives, we will drive economic growth. By building a Southern Border Wall and defending our traditions, we will protect California's identity. As a lifelong Californian, I know our potential. Join me in restoring California's strength and pride.

Second Key Message (Law and Order) Safety and security are non-negotiable for Californians. My zero-tolerance crime policies will enforce strict law and order. We will implement AI-driven policing to prevent crime and ensure swift justice, and utilize prison labor to rebuild our state’s crumbling infrastructure. This three-pronged strategy not only holds offenders accountable but also addresses workforce shortages, benefiting all Californians. Guided by a strong moral compass, I am committed to protecting law-abiding citizens and fostering a high-trust society. Together, our communities will be the safest in existence.

Third Key Message (Economic Revitalization) Economic strength starts with energy independence and job creation. My "California First" plan will expand in-state oil, gas, nuclear, and renewable energy production, freeing us from foreign reliance. Deregulation will cut red tape, keeping businesses here and attracting new investment. State-Work Contracts will guarantee jobs, housing, and food for those willing to work—especially the homeless and underskilled—rebuilding our infrastructure while reducing dependency. This is about restoring prosperity, self-reliance, and pride in California.

Goal 1: Lowering the State Income Tax by 2% across the board for all Citizens and Businesses. Having the highest income tax in the country, it is time to relieve some pressure from our people. This will save millions from economic crisis. The additional funds will go towards family vacations, automobiles, repairs, healthcare, retirement, mortgages, new business ventures, added jobs and more. I'm hurt to see so many Businesses close. I hate how empty it feels downtown. There's no excuse for the current state of affairs in California. When something isn't working you fix it. Stop reelecting the problem and choose the solution. As someone fresh on the scene with no corporations to serve, it's crystal clear what the problem is.

Goal 2: Ending Homelessness with a quickness! As an honest self-made individual with relevant experience to being low income, I know better than anyone how close you can come to being homeless. One car accident, one broken bone, one unplanned sickness could be the end of your entire reality in a warm bed. I have personally written a legislative program, entitled The Covello Pathway Project, which is a state funded program that rehabilitates homeless individuals while utilizing them as employees to help clean and rebuild the cities they once destroyed in California. I have personally interviewed displaced citizens and confirmed that people are looking for opportunities to better their situation. I will give them this chance to rebuild.

Goal 3: Re-establishing healthy law & order with an appreciation for consequences and human life. Video games based off of real locations in California, like GTA6, glorify chaos and violence. The youth have become encouraged to commit crimes. Instead of supporting their friends and neighbors, they now follow them home to rob them. I will change this. I serve as a perfect example of a young, talented, and capable law- abiding citizen with character and social respect. The urge to follow peers can be resisted with the right role models. I will revolutionize law enforcement in California by reinforcing the publics' trust in the badge. I support a new era of police, with a 15% salary increase & improved methods of force.

Parents deserve the right to be Parents. We all need a little direction and critique in life to stay on the best path. Parents who took the time, money, and effort to bring a child into this world, deserve the right to properly raise that child for success.

Mainly in-state policies, I will put California first and other states last. We have far too many issues in our state to be focusing solely on external issues we aren’t even involved in.
Sharifah Hardie believes California should change its policies in regards to employment, housing, mental health and drug abuse. The high cost of living, taxes and inflation are the main reason California businesses and individuals are leaving in a mass exodus.
I am passionate about restoring public safety, making California affordable, and improving education. Crime has skyrocketed due to failed policies—I will work to restore law and order. The cost of living is out of control—I will push for policies that lower taxes, reduce regulations, and bring back economic opportunity. Education should prepare our kids for success, not push political agendas—I will champion parental rights and academic excellence in schools.
I am passionate about reversing California’s decline. My background in political organization and community leadership has shown me the urgent need for change. I am driven by a vision of a unified, prosperous, and safe California, where law-abiding citizens are prioritized and our state’s potential is fully realized. My deepest concerns are public safety, economic independence, and protecting our sovereignty. I believe in decisive action—whether it’s modernizing policing, securing our borders, or fostering job growth—to restore California as a global leader. My mission is to rebuild our state’s strength, guided by moral clarity and a commitment to the common good.
Advocating for the viability and importance of all voices in elections. A third-party vote is not wasted. I am very passionate for ranked choice voting to ensure fair representation and empower voters to choose candidates they truly support. I also advocate for reducing non-violent offenses, promoting rehabilitation over incarceration, and ensuring fairness and accountability in law enforcement practices.

I value the input and battles of great philosophers from the past. Thinkers like Socrates and Plato had the ultimate punishment of questioning everything while being surrounded by people who yearned to know nothing. As long as the public had their games and wine, everything was fine. I value their authenticity to themselves. I appreciate their willingness to disappoint expectations in order to remain true to knowledge and curiosity. I often think of Socrates being denied the right of self-defense at his own trial. The people were so afraid of him convincing the jury of his innocence that he was silenced. Justice for them or injustice for him? Majority rules again.
Silhouette Placeholder Image.png

I look up to people like Nina Turner, Jill Stein, and Kid Cudi.
Malia M. Cohen, California State Controller. I have never fangirled in my life until I met Mrs. Cohen. When I met her it was like meeting the Queen. She is amazing, incredible, brilliant and just knowing she exists has given me the motivation to keep fighting for the American people.
First and foremost, I look up to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whose life and teachings guide my values and decision-making. I also admire Pastor John MacArthur for his unwavering commitment to biblical truth and our veterans who risk their lives for our freedom. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to service inspire me to lead with integrity and purpose.
I look up to George Washington as a model of leadership worth emulating. His decisive command during the Revolutionary War and his steady hand as America’s first president showcase the kind of strength and clarity I admire. What sets him apart, though, is the deep love and respect he earned from his countrymen. They weren’t just followers—they were a unified team, inspired by his integrity and vision to achieve the impossible, like crossing the Delaware or enduring Valley Forge. That bond wasn’t built on fear or force; it came from mutual honor. His soldiers and citizens would sooner die than dishonor each other or him, a testament to his ability to forge a singular, cohesive unit out of diverse colonies. Washington’s example resonates with me because it proves leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about rallying people around a shared purpose. He didn’t chase power; he stepped away after two terms, showing humility alongside resolve. For California, I’d follow his lead by uniting our state across divides, driving decisive action on safety and prosperity, and earning trust through results. His blend of grit, unity, and selflessness is what I aim to mirror.

I would recommend my personal, published novel of poetry entitled 'Band-Aids for bullet holes'. This is a raw, coming -of-age work of mine that tastefully addresses cause-and-effect, life & death, and truth & lies. It is a guide, serving as a reminder to stay hungry for your own life. It helps one confront the emptiness that can develop from over-achieving and people pleasing. It brings the reader full circle back onto themselves; allowing the improved version of one's self to shed the damaged skin. The title is fairly direct and explicit of the meaning. People sustain lethal damage and then are rewarded with insignificant band-aids to cover their wounds. This is symbolic of California and its' people. We once were so great. But politicians took our shine for granted. Their greed robbed us of our dignity. Now you cannot go to see the Hollywood sign without stepping over bodies on the sidewalk. The smell of ammonia and urine hit you in the morning. We keep skipping over the fact that Gavin Newson misplaced $24 billion from the homeless budget. He offers you a Band-Aid for your bullet hole.

Not really.
A film that would allow people to understand my thought process is the piercing, Oscar-nominated film from Ava DuVernay, 13th. It is an excellent representation of where America is today. Another incredible movie is Fahrenheit 9/11 by Michael Moore. People often are unaware of America's true history and tend to just vote based on emotions.
I would recommend my book, California’s Comeback, where I outline my vision for restoring the state by addressing crime, housing affordability, education reform, and economic revival. Additionally, the Bible has been foundational in shaping my values and approach to leadership, particularly its teachings on justice, stewardship, and serving others.
For those seeking to understand my political philosophy of Christian Eco-Nationalism, I recommend **John Maxwell**’s book, ***The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership***. Maxwell, a renowned leadership expert, outlines principles that I find deeply aligned with my vision for governance. His focus on **integrity**, **decisiveness**, and **servant leadership** reflects the qualities I believe are essential for strong, moral leaders.

In my philosophy, leadership isn’t just about power—it’s about serving the people with purpose and accountability. Maxwell’s work emphasizes these ideals, offering practical insights into leading effectively while staying true to core values. For example, his laws—like the "Law of Influence" and the "Law of Solid Ground"—underscore the importance of trust and character, which I see as foundational to addressing California’s challenges. Whether it’s protecting our environment or upholding Christian principles in public life, I draw inspiration from Maxwell’s call to lead with unwavering commitment to the common good.

This book encapsulates ideas that shape my approach to public service, making it a valuable resource for anyone curious about how I envision leadership within Christian Eco-Nationalism. It’s a concise yet profound guide to understanding the kind of governance I strive to embody.

Politics is simple. It is the thoughts and beliefs of the people in constant motion. Sometimes things work and other times they fail completely. This is normal, however, it is imperative to have honest politicians in the driver seat in order to properly and fairly readjust as needed. When you have corrupted politicians hiding their true intentions of fraud and personal gain ( like convicted LA Councilman Jose Huizar, sentenced to 13 long years in prison) the system is tainted and the people lose faith in their government. In these times of economic troubles, people seek out individuals who will build them up, not people that are looking to steal from them and their taxes. Unacceptable and embarrassing. I support politicians refusing favors and gifts from corporations in addition to limited stock trading and trades. They must be reminded that their duty is to the public and not to themselves.

Dedication, knowledge, commitment, fresh ideas, innovation, and bravery to stand up to the establishment.
The characteristics most important for an elected offical are honesty, compassion and love for the American people.
Integrity, accountability, and a commitment to serving the people—not special interests—are essential for any elected official. Leaders must be transparent, willing to listen, and courageous enough to make tough decisions. Above all, they must prioritize results over rhetoric and uphold the rule of law.
**Integrity** is foundational. An elected official must be honest and morally upright, acting consistently in the best interest of the public rather than for personal gain. This builds trust with constituents, a critical element that’s often lacking when ethical standards falter, as seen in places like California where public confidence has waned.
    • Accountability** follows closely. Officials should be transparent about their decisions and answerable for their actions. This means rejecting corruption and delivering on promises rather than offering excuses. People deserve leaders who own their responsibilities and prioritize results over political maneuvering.
    • Decisiveness** and **strong leadership** are also vital. In the face of challenges—be it crime, economic struggles, or crumbling infrastructure—officials must make tough, timely decisions. Hesitation can lead to disorder, while bold action drives progress and stability.

Finally, a **commitment to public service** is indispensable. Elected officials exist to serve their constituents, not themselves or special interests. This requires putting the needs of the people first, upholding shared values, and rejecting policies that foster division or dependency.

In summary, the most important characteristics for an elected official are **integrity**, **accountability**, **decisiveness**, and a selfless **commitment to public service**. These qualities ensure leaders govern with moral clarity, strength, and a focus on the common good—attributes desperately needed for effective leadership today.
Integrity, ideological consistency, commitment to individual human rights, fiscal responsibility, transparency in decision-making, and a strong stance against corruption and abuse of power.

I have a fighter personality, not literally fighting though - I mean it in a metaphorical sense. I will never back down early from a fight if I know that it is in the best interest of the working class people.
I have a strong work ethic, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to bring people together to solve problems. My background as a business owner has given me experience in leadership, budgeting, and strategic decision-making. Additionally, my commitment to integrity, transparency, and service to others ensures that I will always put the people of California first.
I believe I possess several key qualities that would make me a successful governor of California: decisiveness, integrity, empathy, and a commitment to unity. These traits, honed through experience and conviction, align with my vision to lead the state effectively.

- **Decisiveness**: From my days as a lifeguard, where I saved two lives by acting quickly under pressure, I’ve learned the value of swift, clear decisions. As governor, I’d tackle crises—whether wildfires or economic downturns—with bold, timely action, ensuring no opportunity for progress is lost to hesitation.

- **Integrity**: I’m driven by a moral compass rooted in Christian values, demanding transparency and accountability. I’d govern honestly, owning my choices and ensuring every policy serves Californians, not personal gain or special interests. Trust is earned through consistency, and I’d deliver that.

- **Empathy**: Understanding people’s struggles—be it homelessness, job loss, or safety fears—comes from listening and connecting. My background in community leadership taught me to see diverse perspectives, so I’d craft solutions that lift everyone, not just the loudest voices.

- **Commitment to Unity**: Inspired by figures like George Washington, I believe in forging a cohesive team. California’s strength lies in its people, and I’d bridge divides—party, racial, or otherwise—to rally us around shared goals: safety, prosperity, and resilience.

These qualities aren’t just ideals—they’re proven. Saving lives showed me leadership’s stakes; organizing communities built my resolve. As governor, I’d channel them to deliver results, rebuild trust, and make California a beacon of progress again.

The core responsibilities of an elected official are to represent the beliefs of the people that put them in a position of power to make the decisions. I find it puzzling that people are aware that politicians lie directly to them, and yet they still line up for hours to vote for the same corrupt options. It is crucial for a politician to let his word be his bond and mean what he says. An administration based off of broken promises and unfinished works becomes a burden to all living in that environment. It's a responsibility of an elected official to be approachable and well read with the day-to-day activities of the people. When you're elected, you do not disassociate and become big headed with status. It is the burden of a leader to influence others and promote a metamorphosis of consciousness. When a politician leaves office, the people should be better off. They should feel compelled to vote again for a similar and productive lawmaker.

Governance, management, accountability, transparency, and the ability to introduce new ideas.
The core responsibilities for an elected official is concern for the people. Politicians must always put the best interest of the people at the forefront of every decision.
The governor’s core responsibilities include ensuring public safety, fostering economic growth, managing the state budget responsibly, and executing laws effectively. A governor must also provide leadership in times of crisis, appoint qualified individuals to key positions, and work with the legislature to pass policies that improve the lives of all Californians.
The core responsibilities of California’s Governor are to protect, lead, and unify the state with moral clarity and decisive action. As a candidate guided by Christian Eco-Nationalism, I believe the Governor must fulfill these duties:

- **Ensure Safety and Security:** The Governor is responsible for maintaining law and order across the state. This includes enforcing strict, zero-tolerance crime policies, modernizing policing with AI technology, and using innovative solutions like prison labor to rebuild infrastructure while holding offenders accountable.

- **Drive Economic Prosperity:** Managing the state’s budget and resources is critical. The Governor must champion "California First" energy independence, cut unnecessary regulations to retain businesses and create jobs, and implement State-Work Contracts to guarantee opportunities for hardworking citizens.

- **Defend State Sovereignty:** Protecting California’s borders, identity, and traditional values is a key duty. This means building a Southern Border Wall and rejecting policies that undermine the state’s independence or erode its cultural heritage.

- **Lead with Moral Integrity:** Rooted in Christian values, the Governor must govern ethically, fostering trust and accountability. This moral leadership sets the tone for a state that prioritizes integrity in all its actions.

- **Steward the Environment:** Balancing economic growth with environmental protection is essential. The governor must ensure California’s natural resources and beauty are preserved for future generations through sustainable policies.

- **Unite and Inspire:** The Governor has a duty to dismantle divisiveness, prioritize the needs of law-abiding citizens, and build a high-trust society where all Californians can thrive together.

Above all, the Governor must be a strong, decisive leader—ready to act boldly in crises and committed to making California a prosperous, safe, and unified global leader once again.
Protect individual freedoms, promote economic opportunity, ensure public safety, manage state finances responsibly, and uphold the rule of law.

I'm so confident in my abilities to deliver as governor for the state of California that I only intend to run for one term. After living in the state with people like Newsom, going from Mayor to Lieutenant Governor to 2 term Governor, living underneath the rule of someone for 20 years really does feel like a monarchy. In America, we believe in democracy, and democracies have term limits. I would like my legacy to be 'the man that came to get things done.' Always leave them wanting more, never give them their fill of you.

I would like to leave a legacy of helping contribute back into the working class communities of California.
The legacy I would love to leave is to turn California Red.
I want to leave a legacy of restoration and renewal—a California that is safe, affordable, and full of opportunity. I want to be remembered as someone who fought for families, businesses, and communities, who took action rather than just talked, and who helped bring real, positive change to the state. Ultimately, I hope my legacy reflects my faith, my love for people, and my commitment to leaving things better than I found them.
I want to leave a legacy that transforms California for generations—a state united like never before, abundant in essentials, and grounded in faith. Here’s what that means to me:

- **Unprecedented Unity**: I’d bridge California’s divides—party, race, region—creating a singular, unstoppable force for progress. Inspired by my vision of Christian Eco-Nationalism, I’d rally us around shared goals: safety, prosperity, and pride. Picture a state where discord fades, replaced by a collective drive to thrive as one.

- **Abundance for All**: Every Californian deserves housing, food, and healthcare. I’d push bold policies—State-Work Contracts for jobs and homes, sustainable agriculture to end hunger, and streamlined systems for accessible care. My legacy would be a state where no one lacks the basics, built on practical solutions and compassion.

- **Saving Lives and Souls**: Rooted in my love and belief in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, I’d lead with a mission to protect and uplift. This means safer streets through decisive law enforcement and a spiritual renewal that touches hearts. I’d save lives by preventing crises and souls by fostering faith, offering hope amid challenges.

This legacy isn’t about me—it’s about Californians. I’d measure success by the families housed, the hungry fed, the lives secured, and the souls inspired. As governor, I’d work tirelessly to unite us, provide abundantly, and lead with Christ’s love, leaving a California stronger, kinder, and more faithful than ever.

My first sentient memory was seeing the California aqueduct for the first time. Being born in the high desert, one of the few ways of getting out of the house was to go for a nature walk. I recall watching the roaring water from the side walls. The murky green color of the waves was frightening to me. But then again at five years old kids are scared of everything. I remember the family husky jumping into the stream and happily climbing back out. The sound of her nails scratching on the concrete walls. Nostalgia

I can’t recall the very first, but one that I remember vividly was Election Night 2016 and how devastating that was for myself and many others.
The first historical event that I remember happening in my life was Trans World Airline's Boeing 747-100 that exploded and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near East Moriches, New York, on July 17, 1996, at approximately 8:31 p.m. EDT, 12 minutes after takeoff from John F. Kennedy International Airport, on a scheduled international passenger flight to Rome with a stopover in Paris. I was a Customer Service Supervisor in the TWA Los Angeles Reservations Center at the time. At a young age I understood loss. I understood pain. I spoke with parents who had lost their children on that flight. It's bad enough when you lose someone's luggage, but when you blow up someone's child and then call them and ask them to trust you and get back on another TWA airplane and fly to New York City. Toughest experience I have ever had in my life. Now, I always make sure to allow love to lead me. To always tell everyone how much I love them and that tomorrow is not promised.
The first historical event I remember was the election of Ronald Reagan. I was a child at the time, but I remember the excitement and optimism surrounding his presidency, as well as the sense of strength and leadership he brought to the country.
The first historical event I remember from my lifetime is 9/11. I was just young when the towers fell on September 11, 2001, too young to grasp it in real-time. But the fallout—vivid images on TV, hushed conversations, and a shift in how my family and community felt—stayed with me as I grew up. By the time I could process it later in life, I had pieced together the weight of that day from stories and replays. Even as a child during the aftermath, I sensed a change—a tension that still hasn't fully lifted. It shaped a lesson I carry now: you can never relax when it comes to security. Trust is a luxury we can’t always afford, and disasters like massive buildings collapsing must be made impossible through relentless effort. That event drilled into me the need for vigilance—whether it’s protecting a state or a nation, you do everything to prevent chaos. It’s why I’m driven to prioritize safety and resilience as a leader.

My first job was a skate-server at Sonic Drive Thru in San Bernardino! I really enjoyed this job because I was able to exercise while making money. I felt like I was in the 70s riding around on skates, dropping off milkshakes and burgers to peoples cars. lol I'll never forget the day my manager tripped on a quarter and dropped an oreo shake on the hood a dodge charger.

I worked at Target for a summer once.
My very first job was working as a Customer Service representative for our family business Jordan's Rooter and Plumbing at 11 years old. I have worked with my father and my family off and on over the last 40 years.
My first job was delivering morning newspapers when I was 12 years old. I had the job for about a year, waking up early each morning to make sure the papers were delivered on time. It taught me responsibility, discipline, and the value of hard work at a young age.
My first job was as a lifeguard for two years. I saved two lives—a child who wandered off the dock and a water polo player that got hit in the head and knocked unconscious in the water. Starting at 16, I learned responsibility and calm under pressure at the community pool. It shaped my leadership approach.

I loved reading A Politics of Love by Marianne Williamson because of her bright insights on the political landscape over the past few years.
The Bible, The Quran, The Torah. Equally.
Aside from the Bible, one of my favorite books is The Art of War by Sun Tzu. It provides timeless wisdom on strategy, leadership, and decision-making—principles that apply not only to warfare but also to business, politics, and life.
My favorite book is Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand, the story of Louis Zamperini. It’s a gripping testament to the American spirit—raw, relentless, and unyielding. Zamperini, an Olympic runner turned WWII bombardier, survived a plane crash, 47 days adrift on a raft, and brutal years as a POW in Japanese camps. His journey encapsulates doing whatever it takes to endure, pushing past human limits with grit and faith.

What draws me to this book is its vivid portrayal of resilience and duty. Zamperini didn’t just survive for himself—he carried a sense of responsibility to his country and comrades, even when all seemed lost. That’s a lesson for me: true strength isn’t solo—it’s tied to something bigger. His shift from despair to forgiveness after the war, guided by his Christian faith, mirrors my own values of purpose and redemption.

For California, Unbroken inspires me to lead with that same tenacity—fighting for our state’s survival against crises like crime or economic strain—and a duty to serve its people. It’s why I push for unity and sustainability: we endure together, not alone. This book’s a reminder that no matter how broken things get, we can rise, rebuild, and honor our calling.

I would want to be Stewie Griffin from Family Guy, not because of the evil part - but because of the spot-on British accent and comedy aspects.
I’d be The Flash—he’s extremely efficient! Imagine getting things done at super speed while still having time to focus on the big picture. Plus, saving people in a flash wouldn’t be too bad either!
If I could be any fictional character, I’d choose Superman. He’s the ultimate symbol of strength, hope, and service—qualities I admire and aim to embody as a leader.

Superman’s power isn’t just in his flight or invulnerability; it’s in his unwavering commitment to protect others, no matter the cost. Growing up on a farm in Smallville, he learned hard work and humility, values that resonate with me from my lifeguard days saving lives and my push for state-backed jobs to lift Californians up. He doesn’t flaunt his abilities—he uses them to save people, like when he stops earthquakes or catches falling planes, mirroring my focus on safety and crisis response for California.

What really draws me is his dual identity. Clark Kent’s a regular guy, blending in, listening, understanding—much like how I connect with Californians from all walks. But when duty calls, he’s Superman, decisive and bold, ready to act. That’s how I see leadership: grounded in empathy, but fearless in action, whether it’s uniting the state or tackling AI’s challenges.

His moral compass, rooted in doing what’s right even when it’s tough, aligns with my Christian values. Superman doesn’t seek glory—he serves. I’d love to bring that to California: a legacy of hope, lifting us from division to abundance, saving lives and souls like he does. Plus, flying over the Golden Gate would be cool.

Here’s a lighthearted one: Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey. It’s a classic and always seems to come back around!
The last song stuck in my head would be my own, "You’ll Never Be Walking Alone." As an artist, it’s deeply personal and tears me up every time. The melody and lyrics capture that raw feeling of being alone, yet knowing there’s one friend who never quits on you. It’s a promise of hope and loyalty that hits hard.

For me, that friend is Jesus Christ, reflecting how He’s saved my life, time and again, pulling me through dark moments and giving me purpose. I truly believe that purpose is to serve as Governor of California in 2026, to lead our state into a future of prosperity and love.

I wish every Californian could feel that same unwavering support—Jesus as that constant friend. This song’s stuck with me because it’s my prayer for our state: no one walks alone, and together, with faith, we build a California that thrives—united, abundant, and strong. It’s more than a tune; it’s my God-given mission.

I've struggled with perfectionism. I tend to submerge myself so deeply in a pressing matter that I can occasionally forget to come back to it. In the moment, I feel as though nothing else matters, but solving the issue at hand. I take this as an example of my willingness to deliver. I do not pride myself on letting others down.

I grew up in a lower middle class family in a not-so-great area. Facing adversity for being gay was also a major struggle as well.
The biggest struggle in my life is getting people to understand that no matter the question, love is the answer. Whatever you do. Do it with love!
Overcoming my parents’ divorce was a significant challenge that shaped me in many ways. Additionally, I struggled with a speech impediment growing up, which required persistence and effort to overcome. These experiences taught me resilience, the importance of perseverance, and the power of clear and effective communication.
One struggle in my life has been battling depression, sparked by moments when the world feels bleak and the future uncertain for the youth and next generations. It’s not a constant weight, but it creeps in occasionally when I see challenges like environmental decay, economic instability, or social division threatening a human-friendly, sustainable California. Those dark moments make me question whether we can turn things around.

What pulls me through is hope—found in connecting with like-minded Californians who share my concerns. Meeting people who see the same issues—unsustainable systems, limited opportunities, a fraying social fabric—renews my faith. Together, we’re not just lamenting; we’re building solutions. Whether it’s brainstorming ways to house the homeless, secure jobs, or protect our environment, collaboration transforms despair into action.

This struggle has shaped me. It’s taught me resilience and the power of community. Depression hits when I feel alone in the fight, but linking arms with others who care—especially here in California, where innovation thrives—lifts me up. Working on tangible fixes, like State-Work Contracts or AI-driven safety, shows me we can improve lives and create opportunities. That’s my lifeline: seeing progress, however small, and knowing I’m not alone in wanting a brighter, sustainable future for the next generation.

It's the governors job to oversee all aspects of the state. The governor must hire and fire accordingly for the best outcome of the state. The governors main focus is the health of his jurisdiction. California being the most populated state in the country requires an energetic and dedicated individual with open availability. I intend to focus on the budget and state deficit with surgical precision. I intend to enforce a safe and secure border for the state of California. I am focused on eliminating the homeless crisis and bettering healthcare benefits. I am focused on pursuing mandatory maternity leave for all mothers. I am focused on enforcing recycling programs for the state to help combat global warming and to promote renewable energy. As a millennial these issues are prevalent in my life. I am not able to reflect during my retirement on how gas used to be $.50 a gallon. As Governor, I intend to change the narrative on California. Our citizens are mistreated in different states because of their license plate. We are bullied throughout America when people discover our origins from the West Coast. Criminals are renting cars from other states and driving to Beverly Hills to rob people on Rodeo Drive. It is a responsibility of the governor to keep his people safe. As someone who took their first breath in California, I feel a sense of loyalty to the state and happily defend the inhabitants of the land. I did not move here to monopolize on high wages and fast cars. I was born here and want to see the legacy continue.

I personally think that executive orders and the ability to introduce legislation to the legislature will be the two key components to my administration - as well as constant 1-on-1 outreach to citizens.
In California, the most critical responsibilities include restoring public safety, addressing the affordability crisis, fixing our education system, and ensuring a responsible state budget. The governor must also be proactive in disaster preparedness and response, given our state’s vulnerability to wildfires and other natural disasters.
In California, the Governor's most critical responsibility is ensuring the state's resilience and sustainability for 40 million Californians. This role involves tackling unique challenges through focused leadership. Here’s how I’d prioritize:

- **Economic Stability**: A thriving economy needs infrastructure—roads, housing, and tech—and a business-friendly environment. I will ensure job creation and corporate trust are secured in California. - **Emergency Preparedness**: Earthquakes, fires, and pandemics demand robust plans. I’d strengthen disaster response systems to protect lives and communities while minimizing disruption to daily life. - **Environmental Stewardship**: California faces wildfires, droughts, and poor air quality. I’d push for renewable energy, water conservation, and emissions reductions to safeguard our natural resources. - **Public Safety**: Crime, homelessness, and injustice erode trust. I’d address these with practical solutions to unite Californians.

These duties matter because they are the foundation for everything else—education, healthcare, and more. As Governor of California, I will act decisively to build a resilient, sustainable California for today, tomorrow, and forever.
I prioritize ensuring effective management of state finances and promoting policies that foster economic growth and opportunity for all residents.

100% hands on. It's one of the main requirements as governor to approve budgets and state funding. Nothing can get done without the proper accounting and distribution of funds. This is a crucial role for me and I happily rise to the occasion. A successful governor is backed by a capable administration, and like all those before me, I do intend to create a magnificent artillery of professionals to divide and conquer. Joe Biden is a prime example of someone serving as a figurine of power while others complete the job. This will not do. As my own campaign manager and treasurer, I have succeeded at demonstrating my proficiency in budgets and spending limits for advertising, billboards, political ads, volunteers, debates, travel, charity, fundraising, and everything else polished that is observed. I am a one man army. Happy to delegate responsibilities but prepared to do it all myself if needed because it must get done and no one will do it like I can. A governor does not need to micromanage or be overbearing, it is his duty to appoint capable members to his administration to help him with the direct outcome of the project at hand.
Silhouette Placeholder Image.png

Tony Fitzpatrick (No party preference)

I believe that the Governor is responsible for the contents of state budgets, as the Legislature is responsible for the passing or rejection of those policies.
The governor should take a strong leadership role in the budgeting process. California’s budget is bloated with unnecessary spending, and I believe the governor must champion fiscal responsibility, demand transparency, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently. I will work to balance the budget without raising taxes.
In California, the Governor should be deeply involved in the state budgeting process. The people elected me to represent them at the highest level, and I take that responsibility seriously. A budget isn’t just a financial document—it’s a reflection of our state’s priorities, from education and healthcare to public safety and infrastructure. Deep involvement ensures I can lead with a clear vision, advocate for policies that align with Californians’ needs, and deliver on the promises I made to the voters.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

- **Leadership and Vision**: As Governor, I. will propose a budget that sets bold, principled priorities—tackling pressing issues like homelessness, crime, and economic growth. This ensures strategic direction to address our state’s biggest challenges.

- **Collaboration with the Legislature**: California’s budgeting process requires negotiation between the governor and the legislature. I’d engage fully in that process, working to find common ground while ensuring the budget serves the public, not just special interests.

- **Accountability**: Deep involvement means I am personally answerable for the results. If the budget succeeds or falls short, Californians deserve a Governor who owns those outcomes and works to fix what’s broken.

- **Transparency**: I will make sure the process is open and clear, explaining how decisions are made and how they impact people’s lives. A deeply involved Governor has the ability to rebuild trust by keeping the public informed.

Being deeply involved doesn’t mean overriding the legislature—it means partnering with them to craft a budget that works for all Californians. The people elected me to lead, and I’ll be all in, ensuring their tax dollars drive real progress and reflect their values.

I would not hesitate to veto any bills or items that contradict the policies of the new state I am working to build. This is to remain true to those that I represent. The power of veto is a last resource as it means back to the drawing board, which represents time and money wasted. However, the lawmakers in California are paid handsomely and can afford to start over with more appropriate clauses for the public. If elected, all will know that Javen is for the people and he would only veto something he felt undermined their trust and safety. I would not weaponize this power to spite others or wreak havoc.
Silhouette Placeholder Image.png

Tony Fitzpatrick (No party preference)

I believe that whenever a bill isn’t in the best interest of the people, I will not hesitate to use line-item vetoes.
I would use the line-item veto to eliminate wasteful spending, prevent special-interest giveaways, and ensure that taxpayer money is directed toward essential services like public safety, education, and infrastructure. This tool should be used responsibly to keep California’s budget lean and effective.
Yes, I would exercise this power, ensuring it serves the public interest while respecting the legislative process.

Core Philosophy: The line-item veto is a valuable tool for governors to refine legislation, particularly budget bills, by striking specific provisions without rejecting the entire package. I support its selective use to eliminate wasteful spending, remove unconstitutional or problematic provisions, or address policy concerns that conflict with the public good. However, it should not be a routine shortcut to bypass negotiation or override the legislature’s intent.

Guidelines for Use 1. **Clear Purpose**: I would only use the line-item veto when there’s a compelling reason—such as excessive pork-barrel spending, legal violations, or provisions that harm state priorities. Arbitrary or overly partisan vetoes would undermine its legitimacy.

2. **Transparency**: Every veto would come with a public explanation, detailing why the provision was struck and how the decision benefits the state’s budget or policy goals. This ensures accountability and builds trust with citizens and lawmakers.

3. **Collaboration First**: The veto is a last resort. I’d work with the legislature to address concerns during the drafting process, using the veto only when compromise fails. This respects the balance of power and fosters cooperation.

4. **Impact Assessment**: Before vetoing, I’d evaluate the broader consequences—how it affects funding, programs, and political relationships. The goal is to enhance governance, not disrupt it unnecessarily.

Final Statement:

In short, I’d use the line-item veto sparingly and strategically, prioritizing fiscal responsibility and sound policy while maintaining transparency and legislative partnership. It’s a tool to refine, not rewrite, the will of the state.

The best possible relationship between the governor and the state legislature is one that does not involve a conflict of interest. A governors role is to serve as the head of the state and this comes with certain responsibilities and limitations. It's always appropriate to maintain respectful and corrigible relationships with coworkers. However, a line must be drawn to prevent collusion and bias influencing, intended to make decisions that benefit a friendship as opposed to benefiting the people as a whole. As a hands-on governor, I would keep the bill committee busy with my new proposed bills and laws, and I would want a healthy relationship with the state legislature meant to decide on these items. I'm an extroverted individual who is approachable and quick to find a solution. I would welcome all state legislatives to approach me with concerns or comments to promote an open door policy and the most cohesive product for the state.
Silhouette Placeholder Image.png

As close as possible while still being able to create their own separate & new ideas.
The governor and legislature should work together to serve the people, not political agendas. While disagreements are inevitable, my approach will be results-driven and focused on finding common ground. However, I will stand firm against policies that harm California’s economy, public safety, or individual freedoms.
The ideal relationship between the Governor and the State Legislature should be one of unity and collaboration, focused solely on serving the people of California. Our state’s challenges—whether it’s public safety, economic growth, or infrastructure—demand leaders who prioritize results over rhetoric and unity over division.

Key Principles for an Effective Relationship: - **Shared Goals**: The governor and legislature must align on a clear vision for California’s future, working together to pass laws and budgets that reflect the people’s needs, not partisan agendas. - **Open Communication**: Regular, transparent dialogue is essential. The governor should engage with legislative leaders early and often, ensuring that both branches understand each other’s priorities and constraints. - **Respect for Roles**: While collaboration is crucial, each branch has distinct responsibilities. The governor proposes policies and vetoes bills when necessary, while the legislature crafts and refines laws. This balance ensures accountability and prevents overreach. - **Compromise and Negotiation**: Governance is about finding common ground. Both sides must be willing to negotiate and make concessions for the greater good, avoiding gridlock that stalls progress. - **Accountability to the People**: Ultimately, both the governor and legislature answer to Californians. Transparency in decision-making and responsiveness to public concerns should guide every action.

Why It Matters:

California’s future depends on a government that works as one. When the governor and legislature unite, we can tackle our state’s toughest issues—homelessness, crime, education, and more—with decisive, effective solutions. Division only breeds stagnation; unity drives progress.
One of cooperation, checks and balances, and mutual respect.

I love our Pacific Coast. The sunsets make it all worth it in the end. This is one of the main reasons why as Governor, I intend to renovate all beaches in the state. Reinforcement of piers and bridges, proper welding and replacement of broken sewer lines that bleed into the ocean, sand filtering to remove broken glass and needles, planting 100,000 new palm trees for shade and decor, construction of sanctuaries for seasonal water animals, protection and planting of coral reefs, and finally extensive trash collection and sanitation. The Golden State deserves this renovation. This also means harsher punishments for those seeking to pollute our beaches and harm our wild life.

The nature and the many different things to do throughout our state.
What I love the most about California is... IT'S CALIFORNIA!! People travel from around the world to visit our great state. Depending on where you are in California you might live by the beach. In other parts you may live by the mountains or snow. California is a melting pot of foods, languages, cultures, individuals, races, temperatures, weathers, religions and there is no place like it on Earth and I was born in Washington D.C. I choose to live in California. After I moved back to Washington D.C. in 1995, and the blizzard of 1996 hit, I came right back to California and promised never to leave it again. There's just something about waste high snow on my commute that had me running for the next airport out of the nation's capital for sunnier pastures.
California is one of the most beautiful, innovative, and diverse places in the world. From its breathtaking landscapes to its entrepreneurial spirit, there is no place like it. I love the resilience and creativity of Californians, and I believe in our ability to solve problems and restore the state’s greatness.
What I love most about California is its people and the unshakable belief that anything is possible here.

Californians: A Force to be Reckoned With. Californians are a blended people from every corner of the globe, each bringing unique backgrounds, cultures, and dreams. From tech visionaries in Silicon Valley to the farmers tending fields in the Central Valley, every Californian has a story that adds to our state’s power.

The California Mentality: Dream It, Do It The Californian spirit—a bold, unshakable mentality that if you can dream it, you can make it happen. This is the place where innovation thrives, where entrepreneurs turn wild ideas into world-changing realities, and where everyday people chase ambitions bigger than themselves. It’s why we lead in technology, culture, and progress. That “anything is possible” mindset isn’t just a slogan—it’s the heartbeat of our state, inspiring generations to push boundaries and achieve the unimaginable.

Californian Aggression:

For me, it’s personal. I see it in the faces of the people I meet—their grit, their hope, their drive. It’s in the energy of a state that refuses to settle. As Governor, I am committed to protecting this spirit, ensuring every Californian has the opportunity to turn their dreams into reality. California’s people and their boundless potential are what I love most—and what I will fight for every day.

HOMELESSNESS. Without a doubt. California has the highest homeless count in the entire country. This is exactly why I went directly to those experiencing this tragedy, to ask them what the problem is and how we can fix it. The amount of drugs brought into the state by illegal immigrants and the cartel have destroyed California citizens. Being so close to Mexico, the contraband is readily available. This in addition to low demand for American workers forces individuals into a depressive state of decline and drug use to cope. I want to bring purpose back to the lives of Californians. The people feel as though California is better for strangers, and those only passing by as opposed to individuals who have started a life and raised a family here. We must return the loyalty to our citizens.
Silhouette Placeholder Image.png

Homelessness, lack of housing, high prices, crime rates, fentanyl spread, and environmental damage.
The greatest challenge California faces is not prioritizing its citizens. By allowing more and more private prisons to be built, our current focus is on punitive action instead of just simply loving our neighbor.
California’s greatest challenges include rising crime, unaffordable housing, a struggling education system, and out-of-control government spending. If these issues are not addressed, they will continue driving people and businesses out of the state. We must take bold action to reverse these trends and rebuild prosperity.
Over the next decade, California must master the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to uplift the human spirit and experience, not supplant it. As the global hub of tech innovation, with Silicon Valley at its core, our state faces a defining challenge: ensuring AI serves as a tool for progress rather than a force of displacement or division.

- **Workforce Transformation**: AI’s rise threatens jobs in sectors like retail and manufacturing, where automation could replace millions of workers. California’s response must be proactive—launching statewide retraining programs to shift workers into emerging fields like data science or green tech. Education needs an overhaul too, prioritizing creativity, problem-solving, and digital skills that AI can’t mimic. Temporary wage subsidies could smooth this transition, keeping families afloat as they adapt.

- **Equity and Inclusion**: AI’s benefits must reach every Californian, not just the tech elite. Poorly designed systems risk entrenching bias—think algorithms skewing job hires or policing unfairly. We need transparency in AI operations and policies ensuring underserved communities gain access to its tools and opportunities, narrowing gaps rather than widening them.

- **Ethical Oversight**: As AI shapes critical areas like healthcare diagnostics or criminal justice, ethical risks loom large. Unchecked, it could erode privacy or fairness. California must lead with strict regulations, regular bias audits, and clear accountability measures to keep AI humane and just.

- **Unified Effort**: Success demands collaboration—tech firms, universities, and government working as one. Public-private partnerships can fund reskilling, while open forums gather diverse voices to guide AI’s role.

California’s future rests on getting this right—using AI to enhance lives while preserving our humanity.

Your Current Governor hehe.

I’ll be honest - I’m a terrible comedian.
How do you make God laugh? Tell him your plans.
Here’s a good one:

Why don’t skeletons fight each other?

Because they don’t have the guts!
Here’s a California political joke for you:

Why did the California politician bring a ladder to the budget meeting?

Because he heard the state deficit was so deep, he would need to climb out of it one tax hike at a time!

It’s a light jab at our state’s ongoing budget woes—projected at $68 billion for 2025-26—and the endless dance of raising taxes to patch the hole. Typical Sacramento!

Emergency powers of the governor include disbursement of the National Guard and statewide curfews. These are serious situations that should only be invoked on the most appropriate of times, including natural disasters or possible threats to public safety. California was crushed by the handling of the Covid pandemic. There was a better way of handling such a chaotic emergency in the state. It was complete insurrection for the highest paid sheriff in the state (Chad Bianco $590,000 annually) to challenge the governor's lockdown and encourage citizens to rebel. This made the entire state of California look disorganized and foolish. It's vital for a governor to have dedicated and obedient counterparts to enforce the rules previously decided upon. A governor uses emergency powers when he knows his people are in danger and that they will benefit from the tough love in the end.

Tony Fitzpatrick (No party preference)

Whenever there is a situation that can potentially endanger citizens.
Emergency powers should only be used in truly extraordinary circumstances—such as natural disasters, public health crises, or security threats—and should be time-limited, transparent, and subject to legislative oversight. They must never be used to bypass the democratic process or impose excessive government control.
The Governor should use emergency powers only in dire, urgent situations to protect the state, with restraint and oversight. These include:

1. **Natural Disasters**: Wildfires, earthquakes, or floods—like 2025’s mass evacuations—require swift action, such as resource deployment or curfews. 3. **Civil Unrest/Security Threats**: Riots, terrorism, or war threatening widespread harm justify decisive steps, like mobilizing the National Guard. 4. **Economic Collapse**: A rare, severe financial crisis risking mass job loss could warrant temporary stabilizing measures.

Principles: - **Imminent Danger**: Only when delay endangers lives or property. - **Proportionality**: Actions fit the crisis’s scale. - **Transparency**: Publicly justify all measures. - **Time Limits**: Powers lapse unless extended by the legislature. - **Oversight**: Lawmakers review post-crisis.

Emergency powers are for true crises—natural, security, or economic—balancing urgency with democratic safeguards.
Sparingly and only in cases where immediate action is necessary to protect life, property, or individual liberties from imminent and severe threats that cannot be addressed through normal legislative processes.

Javen Allen (American Independent)

As a modern millennial, I understand the value of money and cryptocurrency and stocks. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a successful member of society. However ,there exist a fine line between success and using the benefits of your office in a corrupt manner. Congressmen and Senators should not be worth $300 million after taking office. It makes a mockery of the government and turns the state legislation into a lottery--Each member quietly waits their turn to hit it big. I despise insider trading. I detest cheaters who seek to mislead the public for financial gain. I stand for justice and open door policy between government officials, and the people that they represent. Money makes the world go around, which is exactly why I still don't understand why California has not pursued the matter of missing funds in the amount of $25 billion by the current governor. California has been plagued by dishonest and deceitful leaders. Schwarzenegger and Newsom step out on their wives and families like tap dancers. They keep track of their secret affairs and illegitimate children yet struggle to account for funds meant to save people from dying under park benches. Arnold couldn't even go to the gym like a regular guy he had to cheat at that too. If these politicians would betray their own love partners that they are intimate with, please understand they will betray you. Government accountability is stepping aside when someone is more fit for the job with less baggage and controversy. As a single, athletic, educated male with no children, I have nothing but time to remain financially transparent and accountable for government actions.
Silhouette Placeholder Image.png

Tony Fitzpatrick (No party preference)

I am a firm believer in government transparency as a whole as well as accountability. I seek to make my administration the most effective and transparent that California has ever seen. It is important that all elected officials are held accountable for their actions and decisions.
The government is made up of individuals and people. Everyone needs to be transparent and have accountability for our actions. Just because we are the government, we can't then just operate with impunity.
Financial transparency is critical to restoring trust in government. Californians deserve to know how their tax dollars are spent, and I will push for strict oversight to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse. I support performance audits for all major state programs and will hold agencies accountable for results.
I strongly support financial transparency and government accountability as essential pillars of good governance. Citizens deserve to know exactly how their taxes are used. Transparency is key to holding officials accountable. Integrating blockchain into government finances is a forward-thinking solution. Its decentralized, immutable ledger could provide real-time, public access to spending data, making corruption nearly impossible to hide. This aligns with the vision of a high-trust society where government actions are open and verifiable.
      1. Why Transparency Matters

Financial transparency builds trust. Accessible spending data lets the public monitor resource allocation and ensure it meets societal needs. It also deters corruption, as officials know they’re under scrutiny. Blockchain takes this further—its tamper-proof nature prevents retroactive changes, offering unprecedented visibility.

Blockchain’s Potential: Innovation Blockchain has proven valuable in supply chains and voting systems for enhancing transparency. In government finances, it could let citizens track every transaction in real time. Challenges like data security, privacy, and accessibility must be addressed, but the benefits—less corruption, more trust, better resource management—make it compelling.

Beyond Transparency: Accountability Transparency must be paired with accountability. Blockchain offers evidence, but audits, reviews, and feedback channels are needed to hold officials accountable for mismanagement. Transparency without accountability is like a spotlight without a stage—it shows the problem but doesn’t fix it.

Empowering Citizens: Active Civic Engagement

Transparency should empower public participation. Pairing blockchain data with public input on budgets could create a government that reflects the people’s will, not special interests. Clear financial data fosters informed discourse and better decisions.
They are necessary to ensure trust in an effective governance.

I do support the people being able to propose laws through the current state ballot initiative process. However, I would fight for a quicker period of results. There's a lot that needs to be done and updated in the state of California and in order to achieve this monumental goal we must be punctual and manage time in a more efficient manner. A call to action will bring faster solutions for pressing matters, thus allowing the governing body to make progress instead of being buried under the docket.
I support reforms that improve transparency and prevent special interests from abusing the ballot initiative process. While direct democracy is important, we must ensure that initiatives are clear, fiscally responsible, and reflect the will of the people—not just well-funded lobbying groups.
I support keeping California’s ballot initiative process as is—it’s functional and doesn’t need radical changes. It empowers citizens to shape policy directly, embodying our state’s democratic ethos.

Why It Works: The process lets voters propose laws or amendments via petitions. In 2022, over 1.6 million signatures got Prop 27 on the ballot, proving it’s workable. It’s a lifeline when lawmakers lag—Prop 13 in 1978 capped property taxes after years of delay. It balances direct democracy with legislative input.

Strengths: - **Citizen Power**: With 5-8% of recent gubernatorial voters’ signatures, anyone can raise an issue. - **Versatility**: It tackles taxes, social issues, and more, fitting California’s needs. - **Accountability**: Voters keep officials in check.

Minor Adjustments: No overhaul needed, but I’d tweak: - **Clear Summaries**: Use plain language so voters grasp proposals easily. - **Funding Transparency**: Show who’s funding campaigns more clearly.

No Major Overhaul:

Raising barriers or adding red tape could stifle grassroots efforts, favoring big money. The system is not perfect, but it is a vital, effective part of California. Keep it simple and fair.
I support exploring reforms like ranked choice voting (RCV) to enhance voter choice and representation in the ballot initiative process. RCV helps ensure that initiatives reflect broader consensus and reduce polarization.

The governor serves as a symbol of the state. His policies and beliefs and actions will proceed him everywhere he goes. This is why it's crucial that we have a young honest and respectable individual representing the state of California. This is not West Virginia or Arkansas. California does not need a sheriff intimidating the general public like Texas. The state is in need of a fair individual capable of relating to all various walks of life, while remaining focused on the best outcomes for the majority. A successful governor is able to step outside himself to experience situations from the viewpoints of his voters. A successful governor stays awake and alert during important meetings and briefings. A governor is favored by the people and walks amongst them as a friend with their best interest at heart. As the head of the state, a governor is relatable in policy and supports agendas that empower the average citizen. All of these other candidates spent thousands of dollars to pay people to put ads in front of you and commercials on your phone. I rented a car and drove all the way from San Diego to Redding back down to Santa Barbara in two days to personally hand out 120,000 flyers. We are not the same.
Being governor means taking full responsibility for leading the state effectively. It’s about making tough decisions, setting a vision, and ensuring that policies deliver real results for the people. A governor should lead with integrity, enforce the law, and always put the interests of citizens first.
The Governor of California demands an unwavering dedication to public service and exemplary leadership. It requires a resolute focus on safeguarding citizens, advancing economic prosperity, and fostering unity across the state. Key responsibilities include:

- **Ensuring Public Safety**: Implementing robust law enforcement strategies, modernizing systems, and responding decisively to crises to protect communities. - **Fostering Economic Growth**: Exercising prudent resource management, eliminating inefficiencies, and encouraging innovation to generate employment opportunities and bolster the state’s economic vitality. - **Advocating for State Interests**: Representing the state with determination, securing essential resources, and upholding its rights and identity in national discussions. - **Leading with Integrity**: Governing with transparency and accountability, prioritizing ethical decisions to enhance public trust. - **Managing Crises Effectively**: Addressing emergencies—be they natural disasters or economic downturns—with strategic foresight and resilience. - **Promoting Unity and Vision**: Bridging societal divides and articulating an inclusive, forward-looking plan to inspire collective advancement.

Governor of California requires bold decision-making, adaptability, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes. Success is reflected in safer neighborhoods, a robust economy, and restored confidence in governance. I am committed to serving with integrity, driving impactful change, and strengthening California for future generations.

General election race ratings

See also: Race rating definitions and methods

Ballotpedia provides race ratings from four outlets: The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and DDHQ/The Hill. Each race rating indicates if one party is perceived to have an advantage in the race and, if so, the degree of advantage:

  • Safe and Solid ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge and the race is not competitive.
  • Likely ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge, but an upset is possible.
  • Lean ratings indicate that one party has a small edge, but the race is competitive.[1]
  • Toss-up ratings indicate that neither party has an advantage.

Race ratings are informed by a number of factors, including polling, candidate quality, and election result history in the race's district or state.[2][3][4]
