The question on the ballot:

Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within the Township of Bingham, County of Clinton, Michigan be renewed in an amount not to exceed .497 mills (that being $0.497 per thousand dollars of taxable value) on all real and personal property in the Township, for a period of four years, for calendar years 2012 through 2015, inclusive, for providing funds pursuant to a contract with Briggs Public Library for library services to Bingham Township residents? If approved and levied in its entirety, this millage would raise an estimated $49,700.00 in 2012.[3]
