Doyle was defeated by incumbent Jeff Duncan.[1] Doyle ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent South Carolina's 3rd District. Doyle defeated Cason Gaither in the June 12 Democratic primary. The general election was November 6, 2012.[2]
