Amy Brendmoen
Amy Brendmoen was a member of the St. Paul City Council in Minnesota, representing Ward 5. Brendmoen assumed office in 2012. Brendmoen left office on January 2, 2024.
Brendmoen ran for re-election to the St. Paul City Council to represent Ward 5 in Minnesota. Brendmoen won in the general election on November 5, 2019.
She was elected to the council in 2011.[1] Amy Brendmoen won the general election on November 3, 2015.
Biography
Brendmoen earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993. Her professional experience includes the following:
- 2012-2024: Council member, St. Paul City Council
- 2009-2012: Communications director, Children's Home Society & Family Services
- 2009: Freelance Contractor, GoGirl
- 2007-2008: Senior Account Executive, North Woods Advertising
- 1996-2007: Spokesperson, citizen liaison, policy advocate and mediator, Minnesota Attorney General's Office[2]

The city of St. Paul, Minnesota, held elections for city council on November 3, 2015. Because the city uses instant-runoff voting, there was no primary election. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was August 11, 2015.[3][4] In the Ward 5 race, incumbent Amy Brendmoen defeated David J. Glass and David Sullivan-Nightengale in the general election.[5]
