Atherton New Library in Holbrook-Palmer Park, Measure F (November 2012)
An Atherton New Library in Holbrook-Palmer Park, Measure F ballot question was on the November 6, 2012, ballot for voters in the Town of Atherton in San Mateo County, where it was defeated.[1]
The Town of Atherton plans to build a new library. The question to be decided by this ballot measure was whether that new library should be built in Holbrook-Palmer Park. The text of the ballot question noted that if the new library is built in Holbrook-Palmer Park, this will involve "replacing the main house and some surrounding patios and walkways."[1]

Opposition
Some residents would prefer that the new library be built on the same location as the town's existing library. Objections have also been expressed that building the library in the park would reduce park space and cause parking and traffic problems.[3]
