Stephanie E. Joannides
Stephanie E. Joannides was a superior court judge for the Third Judicial District in Anchorage, Alaska. Judge Joannides was appointed in 2000.[1] Joannides retired on January 31, 2011.[2]
Education
Joannides graduated from the University of Santa Clara, California in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She earned her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington in 1981.[3][4][5]
Career
Prosecutor for the Assistant District Attorney in Juneau from 1984 to 1987. From 1988 to 1990 she was the Assistant Attorney General, in the Criminal Division, for the Legislative Liaison for Departments of Law and Public Safety in Juneau from 1987 1988. Then she worked in the Civil Division, Special Litigation Section, from 1990 to 1992 in Juneau and 1992 to 1994 in Anchorage. From 1994 she has served as the Third Judicial District Judge in Anchorage.[3][4]
