Nate Carman is the superintendent of the Socorro Independent School District. Carman was appointed superintendent in March 2022. Carman's previous career experience includes serving as superintendent of San Benito CISD and Teague ISD. He has also served other administrative roles in various other Texas school districts.[1]
Past superintendent
- José Espinoza was the superintendent of the Socorro Independent School District from September 2012 until 2022. Espinoza's previous career experience includes working in the Houston Independent School District as a school improvement officer and a middle school principal.[2]

The Socorro Independent School District Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected to four-year terms. Five members are elected by district, and two members are elected at large.[3]
