Campaign themes

2016

Boyle's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Economy: Lower taxes and fewer regulations will free New Mexico’s economy, allowing small businesses to thrive and create quality jobs.

  • Pass Right to Work
  • Lower gross receipts taxes
  • Lower arbitrary taxes on energy production

Public Safety: Basic law enforcement must become our #1 priority.

  • Increase the size and support for police forces
  • Stronger punishments for heroin and meth distributors
  • Screen anyone arrested – illegals are deported

Immigration: New Mexico’s legal citizens and residents have rights that must be protected, and which take priority over any implied rights of people in our state illegally.

  • Enforce federal immigration law and seek federal funding to do so
  • No driving privileges for illegal immigrants

Education: We need an overhaul of our public school system that cuts wasteful spending and actually helps to educate our children.

  • More Vocational Schools
  • Eliminate Common Core
  • Create our own state educational standards

Environment: Create our own basic environmental protection standards and loosen overreaching restrictions and regulations.

  • Eliminate federal mandates on New Mexico’s lands
  • Loosen or eliminate restrictions on fracking and drilling[2]
